Steve Silva is an amazing surfer and also an amazing coach who can teach you everything from an absolute beginner to a very advanced level. He always tries to find the best conditions for your level and doesn’t mind driving to a different spot (Peniche, for example) if the conditions in Areia Branca are not good. He is also very flexible with the timing of the sessions to match your needs and the conditions as well. After a few sessions he films you during surfing and then analyzes your mistakes which is the only way how you can improve. I cannot say enough good things about this surf school, it’s just the best I can imagine. Also, Zambeachhouse itself is a spotless and fully equipped hostel where everything works, nothing is broken and everything just looks as new. No wonder people keep coming back there even for many years and some of them have basically become part of the family. I will definitely be coming back there because I just cannot imagine a better place to stay and learn surfing. I simply fell in love with this place and you will, too, if you go there.

It was my first surf camp and I loved absolutely everything about it. The instructors are genuine and always motivated me to go one step further. Super positive energy while learning something new :-)

They have a lot of surfers who come back every year or even a few times a year. A lot of happy customers and I am definitely one of them.

Steve was an excellent teacher, thanks to him we have made great progress. I can only advise to go and learn from him. He knows very well spots around and won't hesitate to suggest a better one even a little further, and it'll be worth it.

The best thing was that we got to surf a lot, two long classes every day. Steve was a great teacher, he really cared that we learnt something and took care of everything. We highly recommend this camp!
