Prachtige accommodatie: licht, ruim, schoon, mooi zwembad, mooi terrein, oog voor detail. Daarnaast: vriendelijk personeel en hele fijne surflessen waardoor ik echt progressie heb geboekt. De massage is trouwens ook een aanrader.

Cool surfing with dedicated instructors. Relaxing yoga classes. A bit of luxurious surf villa with all you need. Beautiful view over the countryside. Nice pool area and surroundings. Super friendly and helpful staff. Very clean!

It was a very peaceful trip, out of season, great shared facilities (kitchen, toilets, work/study spaces). We opted for a private double room, and the views were stunning especially at sunset. Great to have an outdoor small gym with boxing bag, swimming pool, volleyball area , yoga chalet and massage.

Carlos, Yoga teacher had a calm energy, we enjoyed doing Hatha yoga. My husband and I also enjoyed surfing with João & his team. Thank you to Patricia, Maya, Maya, Anna, Marshal and Julia to the team that made breakfast daily for making the stay friendly and welcoming. Communication was brilliant throughout our stay on times of surfing, if a yoga session was cancelled and there were plenty of suggestions to do things locally or if we needed access to amenities.

Es war eine persönliche und angenehme Stimmung auf dem ganzen Areal. Auch der Besitzer war immer wieder anwesend und ein sehr sympathischer und aufgeschlossener Mensch, das hat das ganze Erlebnis richtig positiv unterstrichen und mich mit einem super Gefühl weiterziehen lassen.

I loved this place so much, I extended and rebooked my flight back two Times.

Julia is such a friendly lovely host, cares a lot about her guests and does everything to make you feel well.

João was the best surfinstructor ever, able to predict any wave and really helping a lot, to learn the most.

Also the accomondation was very modern, clean and cozy and that the kitchen had everything I needed.

Besides that, I was lucky enough to meet the lovely volunteer Hugo, who made my stay even more funny and the amazing Nada, a personality nobody should miss to meet.

Staff so friendly and humble. Fresh air and very fresh sheets, towels (which makes so much difference). You can absolutely ask anything and they will make it work! Hugo and Julia are the highlights of my stay. Joao the surf instructor will do all in his power to make you feel safe and welcomed. Time stops in this place and you just want to stay there forever so book a longer stay!

Also there is pretty lovely coworking stay (very quiet) so you can easily work remotely. I don’t drive and the lovely staff was dropping us to the shops/beach for no extra charge.

Die Yogakurse so wie auch die Surf Kurse waren beide wunderbar .Julia strahlt viel Ruhe aus und hat eine sehr schöne Stimme, mit der sie die Posen gut und einfach mit viel Hintergrundwissen erklärt. Ich fühlte mich wirklich wohl im wunderschönen Yogashala.

Der Surflehrer Joan war stets auf der Suche nach den besten Wellen für uns, hatten uns ständig im Auge .Er brachte viel Humor und Geduld mit , und freute sich über jeden noch so kleinen Erfolg bei jedem Wetter.Jederzeit würde ich ihn wieder als meinen Surflehrer aussuchen.

Die Massage war ebenfalls ausgezeichnet..

Die Mitarbeiter waren alle sehr freundlich.

Mir gefiel der Wintergarten sehr gut, ansonsten gibt es wirklich sehr viele Möglichkeiten. Pool , Volleyball, Tischtennis, Slackline, uvm

Die Küche ist mit allem ausgestattet was man braucht und bietet genug Arbeitsfläche.

Die Surflehrer*in Mariana und Joäo sind super, haben genau das richtige gesagt um weiter zu kommen. Im ganze Camp sind die Leute sehr nett und hilfsbereit. Alles immer sehr sauber und aufgeräumt.

The Maverick Surf Camp turned out to be exactly what I was searching for my furst surfing experience.

The organization is the top one especially if you are exhausted to be the organizer of everything in your everyday life and want someone to schedule classes for you!

There is a perfect balance of surf and yoga classes! All teachers are amazing! Special thanks to surf instructors for their patience and strength to stay in cold water for hours with us!:)

The stuff at the camp itself are the kindest people ever! It felt like being a welcome guest there where people care that everything around you is neat, comfortable and relaxing!

Reception girls and guys are also super responsive and helpful any time you beed them.

Special thanks for grocery shopping rides and drop off at the bus station!

The place has literally everything for even a longer stay - it is super equipped (even baking forms for cakes).

Viele Aktivitäten kann man machen, Fahrrad ausleihen, Surfen macht Spaß und Erholung ist am Pool und beim Yoga super möglich. Schöne Anlage, sauber und idyllisch gelegen!

The mavericks is very clean and the staff is so friendly. We had a wonderful time here with the volunteers. The staff was very supportive and they tried everything that we are feeling well.

Breakfast was very good, they had vegan and vegetarian options as well.

The surfcourse was great, we learned a lot. Especially João was an amazing instructor.

Dinis ( the owner)is an inspiration, Julia (the manager & yoga teacher) A sweet heart and so good to adapt to the level of a rookie yogist.

The staff (Bella-Rosa,Marta,Sophia,Emma,Suzanna and people who i unfortunalely didn’t get the name) were just amazing! Helpful and careful of the well being of the guests.

The surf coaches, Joao x2, Nuno, Mariana were full of energy , to give the strengh to keep the motivation going.I recommand highly!

It was à very good holiday, easy to make firends. The staff make you feel like at home in a very short time. The quality of the yoga lessons is really good. I also join surf lesson, wich i didnt plane ti do at all, and it was suprisingly fun!

Sehr lässige schöne Location mit coolen & netten Leuten in sehr entspannter Atmosphäre. Anfragen, Änderungen & Wünsche wurden super unkompliziert erfüllt. Die Villen sind sehr sauber gehalten das Personal voll lieb & hilfsbereit. Was soll ich sagen, nichts wie hin - wir kommen wieder. Danke

I had a wonderful time at the maverick.

The camp is beautiful, my room was nice with an amazing view and the house gets cleaned daily.

The maverick is located a little more in the country side but if you don’t have your own car (like me) there are some very friendly volunteers who offer shuttle services. And the area is simply beautiful and relaxing.

You can easily find people to connect with or spend time by yourself.

I enjoyed my surf and yoga lessons a lot.

I can highly recommend the maverick, I would stay again anytime! :)

I meet unknown travelers, share great moments with them but still had time for me and keep intimacy.

The villas and accommodations (pools, bar, etc) are good quality and spacious.

Super nettes Team, sehr moderne und gut ausgestattete Villen. Ich habe tolle Leute kennengelernt und hatte rundum einen gelungenen Urlaub. Die perfekte Mischung aus Entspannung, Sport und Action. Ich komme gerne wieder :)

De sfeer, het schema, de luxe en de mooie omgeving.

Es war toll wie schön man seinen Tag gestalten konnte auch ohne Auto wurde uns nie langweilig und wir haben so tolle Menschen kennengelernt. Man fühlte sich zu jeder Zeit sehr willkommen und konnte sich sehr wohlfühlen und so sein wie man ist. Das Surfen hat super Spaß gemacht und die Lehrer waren wirklich motivierend. Yoga ist nicht nur 0815 sondern auch mal etwas ganz anderes was wir davor noch nie so ausprobieren konnten.

Und hat es sehr gut gefallen wir sind zur Ruhe gekommen und konnten viel neues für uns mitnehmen und lernen es hat uns an nichts gefehlt und wenn doch noch fragen im Raum standen wurden diese sehr schnell beantwortet :)

Es war der perfekte Spot um dem Alltagsstress zu entfliehen. Die Anlage ist wunderschön und gepflegt. Das Personal bzw die Volunteers sind super und der Zusammenhalt ist klasse.

Die Zimmer sind vollkommen in Ordnung wenn man auf der Suche nach etwas normalem und gemütlichem ist.

Die Surfschule ist professionell und die Lehrer gehen gut auf den Einzelnen ein.

Die Abende im ‘Wintergarten’ werden wir sehr vermissen.

Küche und Austattung bietet alles was man zur Selbstverpflegung benötigt.

Unter der Woche finden immer wieder gemeinsame Dinner in der Gruppe statt zu welchen man sich anmelden kann, um alle besser kennenzulernen ist das super und das Essen ist wirklich lecker !

Alles in Allem ein sehr gelungener Urlaub wir würden das Maverick immer wieder buchen.

Loved the accommodation itself soo clean! Very well thought out. The surf lessons were small and instructors rally good. And love the variety of yoga too.

The villas were large, homely and well stocked.

Infinity pool was an amazing place to relax.

Yoga sessions were great and at a perfect level.

Surfing was fun. Usually small group sizes, apart from on weekends.

It was just as easy to take some time out alone as to join in on group activities such as dinners. There was no pressure either way.

The Maverick is a little way away from the town but the staff frequently offered to drive us to the shops when we needed more groceries. I liked this aspect of it as it was away from the traffic noise.

Everyone was lovely, and it was like a big family by the end of the week

Die Anlage an sich ist traumhaft angelegt. Auf jeder Ebene befindet sich etwas Neues.

I really liked the entire experience. The yoga classes with Julia were perfect! I really enjoyed them.

I felt very sad that i could not do another yoga class on my last day..

The surf lessons were so fun and the teachers are really great!!! The lessons are fantastic for beginners, but also for more experienced people.

After surf, you must book a massage. It’s all you need and it’s perfect!

Really great time and I plan to go there again with some friends!

Super Location mit der perfekten Mischung aus "Kontakte knüpfen"/gemeinsame Zeit und Zeit für sich alleine.

Genug total schöne Räumlichkeiten/Spots mit absolutem Wohlfühlcharakter sorgen für eine absolute Erholung.

Das Programm aus Yoga, Surfen und gemeinsamen Abendaktivitäten trägt dazu bei sich ausgepowert und absolut entspannt zu fühlen - "Über sich hinauswachsen inklusive"!

Und als Topping gibt es ein tolles Team aus warmherzigen und freundlichen Menschen - sowohl im Mavericks als auch in der Surfschule!

In erster Linie ging es mir ums Surfen! Yoga war da ein hervorragender Ausgleich. Sehr schöne Yoga Shala, traumhafter Blick über Lourinhã! Julia ist super! Auch die Stunde bei Carlos war gut.

We really liked the villas, beautifully landscaped amidst the natural setting. Ours was clean and comfortable and spacious and light and there are great communal areas for people to hang out in. Everyone there, staff and guests alike, were really friendly and helpful and we met some really nice people. The infinity pool and backdrop is very beautiful so we spent a lot of time there. Highlights for me were: Shaun's sushi class, the aerial yoga with Julia, and the massage with Carlos.

The whole combo of yoga and surfing is great, they have new facilities and the way it is all built is amazing. Many different spacious areas to walk around and do stuff, to spend time on your own or to talk to others, no force major to do any of these, very relaxing. Had a chance to speak to the owner and it all became clear that everthing was built out of love and with great creativity. Quite some story there!

As for the activities, I am a very beginner in Yoga and the yoga teacher Maya was wonderful, she adapted to our levels of experience as well as nicely encouraged us to go over our psychological limits. You can chose different types of yoga which is also good, especially for those who never tried any of it. The massage with Carlos was very good, I am quite picky with masagges but this one was great.

Surfing - loved it, I wish I had more chances to do it and learn some more. Would love to try such Yogaretreat in the future for sure, additionally with more meditation classes.

Julia, Stefan and the rest of the team were also helpful throughout our stay, a warm thank you to all.

Recommendation: ask about yoga and surfing classes schedule before arrival so you could book them straightaway and get started on them sooner.

Very good mix of divers yoga practices with meditation, breathing technics, air yoga, Yoga Nidra. Food was very good and healthy, great daily organization for transport, activities (including surf as an option). Amazing massage included in the package and transport from airport. Very good atmosphere with all members & staff ! :d

Die Anlage ist wunderschön und es fehlt an nix, es ist alle sehr naturverbunden und der Pool läd zum Verweilen ein.

Die Surfstunden sind sehr effizient und machen mit den Surflehrern wahnsinnig Spaß. Die Betreuung war sehr gut und die Lehrer sind auf das Level von einem eingegangen.

Die Yogsstunden sind der perfekte Ausgleich und sind umwerfend - von anstrengend bis zur Mediation.

Julia und Jenne haben das klasse gemacht.

Die Location auf dem Hügel im dem Chalet ist umwerfend.

Alles in allem ein klasse Urlaub mit netten Menschen um einen rum.

Eignet sich sowohl für allein reisen, oder mit Freunden al Paar oder in der Familie.

Für alle die Surf, Yoga und Spaß begeistert sind.

I had the best time at The Maverick and I can recommend anyone who is looking for a place to relax and meet wonderful people to spend some time there! I wish I could have stayed longer and I will be back for sure! The atmosphere was warm and welcoming from the moment I arrived until my departure when Julia and the rest of the team made it hard for me to leave. Besides The Maverick team the surf lessons are a reason to stay there. The groups are small and the instructors make sure everyone gets the support they need. In conclusion: great environment, beautiful houses and garden, fun surf lessons with experienced instructors, awesome food and most of all - amazing people! A must go!

Eine wunderschöne Anlage mit allem ...gut durchdacht und mit tollen Ideen sportlich wie für das Auge.

Der Highlight für mich waren die Yogastunden mit LISA - sehr sehr gut - eine wunderbare Yogalehrerin - danke dir Lisa.

The people running the retreat were so accommodating!

I like the organisation at Maverick. You feel like belonging to a community but at the same time people are autonomous and free to join / not join events / dinners, etc.

The staff is amazingly nice and fun. Lisa the yoga instructor really makes a good job and is a very nice person. Finally, customers are a balanced mix of friends / solo travelers / families of all ages, which allows to meet very different people.

The Maverick is lovely, great facilities (kitchen, bathroom, dining area, pool area, gardens and winter garden). Very clean. Staff all helpful and friendly. The location is rural but that's fine for me as it made it more relaxing than being in the town. Breakfast was lovely - good choice. Surfing was great fun - class sizes small which helps for beginners! They also have a great yoga studio and we had a yoga class on the beach which whilst cold was really beautiful.

This was the perfect little yoga break for me - the place, group and food were just amazing. I felt really great there.
