Spanish and Surf

Sehr gute und ausführliche Instuktion beim Kite-Unterricht. Habe mich sehr sicher gefühlt als Anfänger.

Spanisch-Unterricht bei Irene war mein Highlight. Bei Ihr macht der Unterricht und das Lernen riesig Spass :-).

Vielen Dank für diese insgesamt super Erfahrung.

There is lots of space in the hostel. Big kitchens and a roof top space to hang out at! And very close to town/ the docks/ the bus stop/ the beach. The Spanish school is fantastic! The teachers really care!

The teachers were all so lovely, I was there for 2 weeks but the time just flew by!. Jorge made me feel welcome and at ease, he always had a smile on. Tamara was gorgeous, she was so kind and nurturing. I really struggle with languages but she helped scaffold my learning. The accommodation was great and cleaned daily. I would definitely come back.

I really enjoyed the Spanish classes, they pay personal attention and measure your level of Spanish beforehand. Also the teachers are super good and fun. Normally 2 hours of class would be draining, but because of the fun way they teach it all went super fast and with a lot of fun! Also the kitesurf school connected was good and a fun experience. I would definitely recommend staying here, the rooms and facilities are also super neat. So overal a great experience!

Everything went super smoothly, both Jorge and Luis were extremely helpful at all times and i could not recommend them enough! The place itself has everything you need: very clean facilities, fully functioning and equipped kitchen, great wifi, a co-working space, and a lovely rooftop. 10/10

Engaging Spanish teacher with a lot of energy and enthusiasm. Made me feel motivated to start my Spanish learning journey. The surf instructor was also friendly and motivating, giving helpful tips to help me recapture form. The house was neat, quiet during the nights, and Jorge and Luis were there to take care of every small detail at all times.

Casa Carmen is an Amazing place to stay. Luis is an fantastic host, who wants to feel like every student feels like home. He is an fantastic guide who helps you to get where you want to go. The teachers are Amazing and the kitesurflessons were also Amazing! Would definitely come back.

Oh wow, what a great experience! The residence, Casa Carmen, is a really well designed setup for easy communal living and still plenty of privacy. The Spanish lessons were fun and well designed. The surf sessions were amazing too - super enthusiastic and encouraging instructors, and always aiming to get you up and catching waves at whatever comfort zone that you needed on the day.

My only wish is that I stayed for longer. Do two weeks!

Doordat het heel kleinschalig is is het meteen heel erg persoonlijk. Luis doet er echt alles aan om het je naar de zin te maken. Vooral als je alleen bent is dit een hele goeie omgeving. Leren en tegelijk nieuwe mensen ontmoeten op een zonnig eiland met heel veel positieve energie. Het strand en gezellige restaurantjes in de buurt. Ik kom hier zeker volgend jaar weer terug.

The accommodation was clean and modern and it was great having a self contained kitchen and good supermarkets nearby. Great location. Loved eating and relaxing on the rooftop. Luis and Jorge were very helpful and flexible and I felt immediately relaxed when I checked in. Great as a single traveller, you can relax on your own or hang out with the other like minded people in the accommodation!

it was an amazing experience! Casa Carmen is perfect for people traveling alone who want to meet people. Luis and Jorge have created a one-of-a-kind place.

I did't have to worry about anything, the organization is super reliable, they take care of everything, the only thing you have to do is enjoy, the accommodation is also very good and very well located.

The surf class are also really good and professional.

The owners of Casa Salty are very nice peoples who do everything to help you if you need it! Amazing people and perfect service.

Really fantastic week. Beginner surfing lessons were great with 2 different instructors - went to lots of different areas and surfed (tried to surf) different kinds of wave. Apartment was v clean (I think cleaned every 2/3 days maybe?) and had a great kitchen/dining area for lunches/dinners in. Rooftop seating area is also great for evening beers. Met some cool people over the week and really enjoyed it. Definitely recommend.

I like the hostel and special thank you to Fabio. He is excellent instructor, punctual, funny and kind, keeping eye on everyone on newbies and experienced surfers.

I didn’t know what to expect but can honestly say this was one of my favourite holidays ever! Everything was very well organised from airport pickup to surf classes, the team was very friendly!

Surf lessons were really fun and combined well with the yoga, although a little tiring at times as the sessions were long, but definitely worth it!! Also some free time to relax and explore.

Overall, I met some really amazing people which made the trip all the more memorable :).

The staff were all super friendly and helpful, and everything was really well organised. Issues were dealt with quickly. Accommodation was clean and in a great location by the sea. I had a wonderful time, thank you!

What really made this trip memorable for me was the people I met at Casa Carmen and the other hostels. If you are traveling alone and enjoy meeting other people then I would definitely recommend it. There are lots of social activities taking place outside of the surf such as a Pizza night on Mondays plus there are plenty of bars and restaurants nearby as everything (including the supermarket) is within walking distance.

Jorge and Luis are doing an excellent job! Easy communication and always reachable if needed. They showed me all the stuff I need to know. Casa Carmen is a nice place to stay with a wonderful view. As I really liked the place, I decided to extend my stay - it was no problem and very fast organized.

The Yoga place was nice (all the courses are in english) - for some lessons precognition is an advantage. Surfing, organized by the home grown surf school, was a pleasure. They always carry you to places where there are waves suitable to your level. There was always a good balance in between theory and practice.

Everything is perfectly organized from your airport pick up to surf classes.

I stayed in Casa Carmen which is more laid back, for single travelers who likes to meet new like minded people. The house is a big villa and the atmosphere turned into flatshare right after my arrival. The surf classes are very proffesional, all on soft boards so if you want to surf hard board, don´t think about it. I also recommend to take the spanish course, which was also very professional and we had lots of fun with Sara and Cristo. Finally, overall, I had a great time and met great people.

The instructors are professionals who are familiar with the surf breaks and are thorough in giving students all the information necessary to stay safe.

My surfing lessons with Ricky were sooooo fun! He is very very possitive and amazing person, could not ask for a better instructor! Surfing Camp was so so so cozy, with amazing view to the ocean. Everything was planned from A to Z! Superb! I did not need to worry about anything... Transfers to airport, pickup to the lessons... - everything was done! It was the most relaxed holiday I ever had!

I loved how well we all got along in the house! Its a place to relax and find good company. The house itself is so cory and cute! The view from the house was amazing and I liked that the things in town were in such short walking distance (food store, restuarant, Spanish School). I loved the organization, that everything eas organized with pick up/drop of from airport and also for surfing. Thx for the suggestion to take 3days of surfing and then a rest day! Thx Tito for the intro to surfing and thx Fabio for explaining the theory and how to do things around surfing, appriciated the detailed information.

It was the people I met that made the experience great. Fabio was a great instructor, he gave great instruction and feedback to all the students and was good fun. The house was well equipped and really comfortable and transfers were hassle free. Thanks for everything.

Casa Carmen is a higher standard surf house with positive vibe thanks to Jorge the manager and beautiful people I meet there :) Great relaxed & charming spanish course thanks to our teacher Sara!

Great accommodation/location and cleanliness (Casa Carmen)

Well organized

Everything was perfect! I wanna surf again and I wanna surf again in Fuerteventura with Spanish and Surf!

Jorge was lovely from day one, he picked us up at the airport at like 10 pm and occasionally came and chatted with us in Casa Carmen. The house is awesome, people are always around and one makes friends easily.

In the morning/afternoon they pick you up, bring you to the beach they chose for the day (depending on the conditions and your abilities) and give you wet suits and boards.

You just have to worry about surfing!

We had two instructors, Mauro and Riccardo and they were both amazing in their own way. They start with a little warm up, explain the theory on the beach and watch/assist as you try it in the water.

Book your surf lessons but also book your accomodation for more days and plan for one or more free days in between because surfing is tiring for most people and I regret not staying longer. I couldn't visit much of the island and I couldn't benefit from the lessons as much as I would have if I had rested.
