Come on a family surf trip to Gran Canaria and yes, surf and survive with your kids! Jordi, the founder of Feel Surf Camp, is a dad of two and understands what it’s like to travel with kids. He will help you out. As a local who knows the island inside and out, he will try to make your trip easier, more relaxed, and with less worries. We provide childcare service, a complete family guide etc. All extra help for families are listed below. You can choose to stay either in a private apartment with several rooms in Las Palmas or in a bigger finca in Agaete. Both are ideal for families, with space to relax, share stories, and plan tomorrow’s adventures.

Private Apartment
For maximum comfort and independence, choose a fully equipped private apartment, ocean view or not, perfect for families. On request it includes family friendly facilities such as a baby bed, stroller and beach toys for children. Each apartment includes a kitchen, bathroom, and cozy living area, giving you the freedom to relax and feel at home.
Finca
Stay in our modern Fincas in Agaete, stylish, quiet homes surrounded by nature, just 30 minutes drive from Las Palmas. Each finca offers a private kitchen and bathroom and a garden where you can soak up the sun and listen to the sounds of nature. It’s the perfect base for hikes, exploring local hidden spots, or simply recharging in a peaceful, non-touristic area. You’ll still be close enough to join surf sessions and activities in Las Palmas.

A Typical Day at Feel Surf Camp Las Palmas
- Morning surf: Two hours of surf lessons at Las Canteras beach with instructors who tailor the lessons so both children and adults can enjoy and learn at their own pace.
- Chill and lunch time: Refuel with delicious local food, or prepare a meal in the apartment. Take a break, play in the sand, or simply relax and enjoy the sun.
- Optional yoga or dance class in the afternoon: Participate in a calming yoga session or join a lively dance class.
- Dinner and sunset: Enjoy a delicious dinner at one of Las Palmas’ cozy restaurants, and end the day watching the sunset on the beach while the children play in the sand or explore one of the many playgrounds along the promenade.
- Night activity: Join one of the organized activities to explore the island and experience the local culture, or take advantage of the childcare service if parents wish to spend time alone.

Mondays: Sunset Hike
Enjoy a three-hour, family-friendly hike to the volcanic area near Las Palmas and one of Gran Canaria’s most stunning viewpoints, El Confital. Watch the sun set over the ocean — a memorable experience to share together. This hike is suitable for children aged 10 and up and accessible for all fitness levels. It offers the perfect combination of adventure, natural beauty, and exceptional photo opportunities, making it a wonderful way to end the day as a family.
Wednesdays: Live Music Night
The live music night is open to all and takes place in a cozy local bar. Guests can enjoy an evening of engaging performances, warm atmosphere, and positive energy. Childcare is available in the apartment through the babysitting services provided by Feel Surf Camp Las Palmas, allowing parents to relax and fully enjoy the evening.
Thursdays: Old Town Tapas Tour
Explore the charm of Las Palmas’ historic Old Town, Vegueta. Sample a selection of local tapas and drinks while discovering Canarian culture, architecture, and history. This tour offers a delightful and flavorful way for the entire family to enjoy both local cuisine and quality time together.
Saturdays: Karaoke Night
Participate in a lively karaoke night where everyone has the opportunity to sing their favorite songs. Parents may attend as a couple while children are cared for by the babysitters provided by Feel Surf Camp Las Palmas, or the entire family can join in on the fun. Either option promises laughter, great music, and unforgettable moments.

Feel Surf Camp Las Palmas is located just a few meters from Las Canteras Beach. The camp is set in the heart of Las Palmas, surrounded by local cafés, bars, restaurants, and surf shops. You'll be within walking distance of everything you need, combining beach life with the vibrant culture of the city.
Repas
Meals are not included, but your family can choose to dine at a variety of local restaurants nearby, offering fresh seafood and authentic dishes. Alternatively, you can enjoy the convenience of cooking together in the kitchen in your apartment, ideal for a cozy meal at home after a day of exploring.

Just at a walking distance from where guests will be staying, they can enjoy an amazing snorkel area at the sea reserve of Las Canteras — they will be amazed by the sea life! Guests can also go hiking from the door to the top of the mountain of El Confital. Up there, they can go to the aboriginal caves to enjoy the sunset at the ocean. It is a must-try activity!
Visit the beautiful old town, go shopping and visit museums that the city offers. Rent a bike and visit the seaside. If guests wish to discover more about the island by car, Feel – Surf Camp Las Palmas can help to give recommendations of the best spots to visit.

Do you like dancing? Then this is the place for them! Feel – Surf Camp Las Palmas offers various types of dance lessons (dancehall, reggaeton, Latin solo, ladies styling). - From the airport, take the highway GC-1 to Las Palmas, always follow the sign “Mesa y Lopez”. It is better to check on Google Maps how to get to Calle Portugal corner Calle Galileo.
- Calle Portugal corner Calle Galileo is the closest point to the apartments that you can get. The accommodation is located on the beach promenade where it is not allowed to drive a car. Find a close parking spot and just walk along the beach to the Paseo de Las Canteras nº58.
Arrival by taxi
If you arrive using a taxi, let the driver know that you have to get off at “Calle Portugal Esquina (corner) Calle Galileo.” From here, walk along the beach to the Paseo de Las Canteras nº58. There will be someone from Feel - Surf Camp Las Palmas staff to welcome you.
