Bravo Surf Camp

Punta Hermosa is the best spot for beginners surfers like myself. The beach is just down the road of the surf house, the accomodation is beautiful and Abraham is a very good host. Fresh food everyday and occasional pizza :) Shout out to Guillermo Bagus: best surf instructor ever!

The surfing and instructors were great. We met some wonderful people and I enjoyed the vibe of the hostel very much.

We really enjoyed the surf lessons and the flexibility with the organisation (eg. starting with our first lesson already the day of our arrival). The communication in before hand was also easy and we could even check-in a bit earlier. The beach is really close, the equipment was great and our teachers (Máximo y Anderson) were very friendly and professional. The price is great especially because there is always one teacher for only two students. We also liked the atmosphere of the hostel and our room. If you expect a classical surf camp, just keep in mind that while you are booking an all inclusive package this doesn't mean there are other people with you in a group at the same time. It's rather individual and I recommend to bring a friend ;)

Zur Unterkunft: Sehr sehr gemütliches Surferhostel welches seinem Namen mehr als gerecht wird. Die Eigentümer sind sehr freundlich, unkompliziert und reagieren auf Anfragen über WhatsApp schnell und zuverlässig. Das Ambiente hat einen Charme, für nächtliche Gespräche (oder auch Bier :) ) auf der Terasse ist die Unterkunft mehr als einladend und perfekt geeignet!

Zum Surfen: Wellen der Hammer für Anfänger, aber auch Fortgeschrittene können auf ihre Kosten kommen!

Zum Surflehrer: Sympathischer Typ der seine Arbeit super macht. Ich als Anfänger konnte sehr viele Wellen surfen in den 4 Tagen, somit war es ein voller Erfolg für mich!

Das Cafe des Hostels: Sehr sehr freundliche und nette Bedienung!

Alles in Allem mehr als empfehlenwert, für Surfer oder angehende Surfer nur zu empfehlen. Sollte ich wieder in Punta Hermosa sein, würde ich nicht zögern die Unterkunft noch einmal zu buchen.

Beautiful location and very close beach access. Guillermo was very fun and helpful. My partner and I were at different skill levels and he accommodated both of us during the same lesson. The hostel was clean and comfortable. We met so many other travelers and had a great time.

I stayed at their new location, el Quilla, super nice and cozy, we had surf lessons in the morning and went again in afternoon, beginner’s break is literally on the next corner, amazing.

They speak perfect English and are super friendly, food is good and really good coffee! Ahh and the best shower I had on this trip! Though it was off season it turned out a nice little group of us there surfing at times having the beach to ourselves.

The atmosphere, facility, and the staff was absolutely incredible and I felt like I lived there because they made it so good.

Super chilled vibe, Abraham makes you feel like family. Very laid back and relaxed, he will help you sort out lessons/give you a lift down to the beach - you can surf as much or as little as you like. Anything you need, equipment, recommendations etc just ask.

Food was bought from restaurants so had tasty ceviche, chicken, lomo saltado etc. Booked a room in a dorm but had it to myself for 3/4 days.

Really really good value for money, especially compared to other camps in the area

We loved the location of the Puenta Hermosa house. Very close to town and the beach. The town had most anything you could need and has a huge surf culture. We really really loved our surf instructor, he was very welcoming and made us feel like part of his family!

Everything is great. Accomodation is perfect, 5 minutes to some beaches. Food is delicious. Great service from the landlord.

Abraham hat sich sehr um uns gekümmert, uns alles erklärt und gezeigt. Trotz Off-Season und entsprechend wenig los in Punta Negra hatten wir sehr entspannte Tage. Tolle Wellen, erst zum Gucken (zu groß), dann zum Surfen lernen gab’s obendrein.

The family running the surf house was wonderful and very helpful in helping myself and another guest when we decided to leave the "camp" early. It's just a basic casa with a simple rooftop area to hang out.

Todo. Ambiente súper agradable, comida y trato insuperable. La casa súper acogedora, con unas vistas increíbles. Habitaciones amplias, todas con su baño privado. El personal de 10.

Abraham was a great facilitator/coordinator. he set up meals, equipment, rides, and instruction. I spent some time at the Punta Hermosa location and found the location I booked (Punta Negra) was the right fit for me. both are great places with fun people, but the Punta Negra spot was way more relaxed. both locations were close enough to walk to the beach. The instruction was delivered in English, and I always understood what the instructor wanted. I booked this as a vegan experience but by the time I got there I was excited to eat meat again, and I found plenty of dining options around both camps that could accommodate. The beaches were amazing each one offered two or three different types of surf, and always consistent waves.

Super chilled out check in and arrival, very friendly atmosphere and lots of space and time to relax. 10 minute walk to the beach and excellent meals with Abraham and his extended family. No frills accommodation but a great package!

At this surf camp you have the feeling to be part of a family. The food is great everybody is very nice and the surfing conditions are great. They are a lot of spots with crazy waves.

I throughly enjoyed every aspect of my stay at Bravo Surf Camp. The food and hospitality was amazing. Abraham was very accommodating. He made sure I got the lessons I needed to surf, had delicious food to eat and made me feel very welcome. I will definitely go back and highly recommend Bravo to anyone traveling to Peru!
