In the surf house with a sea view right at the shoreline, you will find everything a surfer’s heart desires. Mostly two-bed rooms give you enough space to recharge your batteries for the next surf session.
The suite with a private bathroom and terrace access is perfect for a couple’s surf trip. The dorm bedrooms are also perfectly tailored to your needs and all rooms have built-in wardrobes and large windows that provide plenty of light.
In the cozy chill-out area, you can relax and hang out with other surfers. If it gets colder outside, the spacious living room with its open fireplace provides enough space to warm up.

Programa
Far away from mass tourism, Slide Surfcamp has the luxury to be able to introduce you to the wonderful sport of surfing right in front of their house. Slide Surfcamp is the only surf school around so there will be empty lineups waiting for you to try yourselves out.
If you are an advanced surfer, Slide Surfcamp can offer you surf guiding in which they will take you to the different breaks around. The region around the surfcamp offers pointbreaks, protected beachbreaks. Even the longest wave of Portugal is only a short car ride away, so you will be able to make the most of every conditions for you regardless of your surf level and prior experience. Slide Surfcamp loves waves and so will you!
Instructores
Nico
A few years ago, Nico took the people and beaches of the region around Aveiro into his heart and founded Slide Surfcamp in Northern Portugal. After having spent many years working fo a large surfcamp travel provider in France he turned his passion into a profession and now is his own boss. You will meet him in the water where he provides surf guiding and takes you to his favorite surf spots around. Other than that, Nico will spear no cost or effort to give you the perfect surf holiday experience, especially by providing the camp with his delicious food specialties every night.
Luis
If you take surf lessons, you will have the pleasure to meet Luis, our permanently employed surf instructor. The Portuguese happy nature is spreading good vibes and always has a joke on his lips. Having grown up on the beach closeby, he knows the waves and the locals around like the back of his hand. He will definitely get you on the board and is excited to share the stoke with you!
Nalu
The herding dog joined the team shortly after the founding days of Slide surf camp and ever since has been a part that our surf school can never be imagined without. Nalu (Hawaiian for "wave") is the perfect surfer dog, bathes in the sea every day and loves to be stroked. If you are looking for someone to gaze into the distance with for hours, Nalu is your girl.
Ubicación
The Slide Surfcamp is home to a small fisher's village called Praia da Vagueira. Here, far away from mass tourism, the world still is in order. Everybody knows each other and the vibe is super relaxed. When people pick up warm bread from the bakery in the morning, they exchange a friendly "Bon Dia!" here and chitchat with the neighbors there. Traditional fishing provides fresh delicacies that are offered on the local market where people also get their seasonal fruit and veggies.
Nonetheless, also the surrounding region makes a visit worthwhile. Stunning beaches take turns with a beautiful lagoon landscape of the river Ria de Aveiro. Its namesake the city of Aveiro is not called "Venice of Portugal" for nothing. Water runs through the region like a red thread, creating a unique recreation area with lots of sporting opportunities.

After an epic surf day, you all get together for a nice evening meal. The Slide Surfcamp team know that surfing takes up a lot of energy and want you to have as much fun in the water as possible. Therefore, they provide you with the perfect nutrition tailored to your needs as a surfer.
The cooking is made of only fresh and regional ingredients, mostly from Slide Surfcamp's own garden and the team put everything together themselves. Do you prefer vegan or vegetarian food? Just let Slide Surfcamp know!
