Spot X is nestled in a beautiful remote location on east coast of Australia. Situated in a National Marine Park, Spot X provides a unique opportunity to spend time in one of Australia’s most beautiful coastal areas. It’s what we like to call ‘ultimate beachfront’ since you can see the ocean from almost every one of our accommodation options. It’s the perfect place to learn to surf, chill out, make new friends, and hang by the campfire! Explore the surrounds where you’ll see kangaroos, dolphins, and maybe even some whales!

Awesome facilities at Spot X Surf Camp
Ultimate beachfront, that’s how close the camp is to the beach. If you’re a slow walker, it might take you 2 minutes. Spot X Surf Camp has a range of accommodations from dorm rooms to waterfront cabins, or tipis.
Spot X has all the facilities including absolute beachfront accommodation, Wi-Fi, kiosk/shop, beach activities, dorm share, tipi style accommodation, private room upgrades, volleyball, river kayaking tours, surf rafting, kangaroo trek (nearby), chill out zones, hammocks, fire pit, laundry, party room, camp kitchen, and a TV room.

Spot X has all the facilities you need including a laundry, a shop for all your basic necessities, an entertainment area with internet access, a tour desk, hammocks, a movie room, and a kick-ass sound system. There are also plenty of other activities to join in on like surf rafting, river kayaking, kangaroo trek, volleyball, table tennis, pool table, slip n slide, plus an amazing, uncrowded pristine beach is right at your doorstep!
You have the option of staying in either a dorm or tipi depending on the date you'll be staying.

Surf and stays are the ultimate packages for the traveler who is heading up or down the East Coast. Add the packages to a bus pass. Once you're at Spot X, let Mojosurf do the rest so you can enjoy all the amazing activities that they have to offer. Spend 4 days learning to surf and enjoying the beach lifestyle. It's a perfect way to start your surfing career and have a true Aussie surf experience.
A typical day at Spot X Surf Camp
- Breakfast starts at about 7 a.m. and is available until about 9 a.m.
- Surf lessons start daily around 7:30 a.m. and run for 2-3 hours but may vary depending on group sizes.
- Lunch time is 12 p.m. to 1 p.m.
- During the afternoon you can participate in a free activity, relax, lay in the sun, or watch a movie in the tv room.
- Optional extra activities available for purchase include surf rafting, kayaking, or kangaroo trek (This is where you'll visit the local driving range that has a resident population of about 400 wild kangaroos. Bring the camera as you can get up close and personal).
- 6 p.m. is dinner time then leads into the campfire and nighttime entertainment.
There is no bar at Spot X so you can BYO (bring your own) drinks and keep them in the fridges provided. Spot X runs a free shuttle to the bottle shop every evening.
Please note: To use up all your inclusions on your surf and stay package, you are best to leave the camp on your last day at the same time you arrived on your first day. The itinerary is subject to change
Surf lessons - Learn to surf course at Spot X Surf Camp
Fully qualified instructors with level one beginner and level two advanced coaching qualifications to ensure you surf at your best. The instructors are in the water with you assisting every step of the way. Mojosurf also uses photo and video analysis to help you see where your surfing is at. Spot X has amazing waves with access to a variety of breaks to suit the absolute beginner to the intermediate and advanced surfer. They have a wide range of boards and wetsuits, to ensure that you get the best equipment for your size and ability to assist your surfing journey.
After your surf lesson, join in with amazing activities
Learn how to surf and have the time of your life at Spot X Surf Camp. Enjoy activities including beach volleyball, beach soccer, kayaking, and surf rafting. Relax in the evenings around the campfire and share your day with new, like-minded friends. An experience not to be missed.

Located in a National Marine Park, Spot X Surf Camp provides a unique opportunity to spend time in one of Australia’s most beautiful coastal areas.
Long days in the sun and waves leading to memorable nights around the campfire, Spot X is truly a place you don’t want to miss. Great food, awesome staff, and comfortable, clean accommodation. Spot X Surf Camp is a place that will change your life, stay for a few nights with surf and stay package, a few more nights on one of the guided surf adventures or join the Mojosurf Academy and stay for 3 months!
The surf camp Spot X is right on the beach
Even if you’re the slowest walker it might only take a minute to get from your room to the beach! There you’ll learn to surf on our great learner-friendly surf beaches. You’ll stay in one of the cool 4-12 share dorm cabins or 4-share tipis, with all your bedding included. Some cabins have small en-suites, the others have amenities close by. Upgrades are available on request to a twin/double room or waterfront cabin but are an additional cost and subject to availability (please send an inquiry to contact Mojosurf for this).

It won’t take long before you’ve surfed up an appetite and the chefs have you covered. Buffet-style breakfast, lunch, and dinner will keep you full and ready for all the action. They offer vegetarian, vegan, and gluten-free options, just please let them know your preference before you arrive.

- Lunch: Wraps and/or bread with deli meats and salads.
- Dinner: A different hot meal will be cooked every evening.

Transport is not included in these packages, however, getting to Spot X is easy once you know how. You can self-drive, Spot X is located at 46 Arrawarra Beach Road, Arrawarra, NSW, 2456.
Arrival by bus
- Loka Travel: Your bus will pull right into camp!
- Greyhound/Premier: When booking your pass, ask for “Spot X – Arrawarra” and Mojosurf will meet you at the bus stop and provide a free transfer to Spot X. Please reconfirm your bus arrival time with Mojosurf 48 hours prior to arrival.
