Ferrel Surf House welcomes you to their home in the charming village of Baleal, where the beach is in the front of the house. Can you imagine something better than walking out of your bedroom right to the beach? Staying in Ferrel Surf House gives you exactly that opportunity. Grab your board and hop in the water for a fun surf session. This place is built brand-new and provides a fully facilitated surf house and surf school, all under one roof. Four private rooms and four dormitories, all of them decorated with the love and care that aim to make you feel, not like tourists but like friends.
Enjoy laying on the beautiful beach after surfing, chilling with friends in the beautifully decorated backyard, or watching the amazing sunset in front of the house. Ana prepares a wonderful continental breakfast every morning. Of course, you can use their well-equipped kitchen whenever you want to cook and prepare food. They love having a community vibe in their house which is why there is a lot of space to hang out. Outdoor on the terrace or indoor in the spacious living room where they sometimes have movie nights or do the surf analysis. There is a public parking space in front of the surf house where you can find a place to park your car.
Programa
Whether you are looking for a surf camp, a surf school, a surf house, or simply a lovely place to stay, you are in luck. Make yourself at home in the fully equipped modern kitchen and cozy living room and join the Ferrel Surf House crew. At Ferrel’s Surf House, you will start the day with one hour of energizing and strengthening Vinyasa, Ashtanga, or Hatha yoga. Afterward, during the day, you head out to the waves for the surf lessons.
The yoga package is ideal if you want to combine surfing with relaxing yoga lessons for your mind and your body. In the surf school, you will be taught by their licensed and local instructors in English. They want to ensure good quality of teaching which is why they never have more than five students per instructor and give individual coaching with personal feedback. Every day, depending on the wave conditions, you will be taken to the best spots in the region.
They provide all the surf equipment necessary for the surf lessons and of course, if you have some power left, you can use it after the lesson for free. Every surf session lasts around two hours, as you drive to different spots to search for the right one for the given conditions. The surf lesson itself is then scheduled for one and a half hours with practice in the water and on land (if needed).

- Introduction: Brief diagnosis of the surfer, recognition of the beaches and streams, revision of the basic techniques of surfing, techniques for paddling and turning the surfboard (tricks and details)
- Priority rules
- Surfing: Distinguish different types of waves and surf to apply in each of them, catch green waves, the bottom turn, and its importance for the success of the wave, techniques to pass the wave (duck-dive)

Yoga lesson
- Vinyasa, Ashtanga, and Hatha yoga
- Special surf yoga to improve your surfing skills
- Classes combine strength and mobility work while connecting mind to body
Each yoga lesson lasts around one hour.

The Ferrel Surf House is located in Peniche, Portugal, one of the best places to surf in Europe. It is widely recognized as the surf capital of Portugal and a true Mecca of surfing. Peniche is located at the western extremity of a peninsula of the same name. Surrounded by surf spots that work at almost any given swell and wind direction, making for consistent conditions to learn and practice surfing all year round, and as they say, practices make perfect. You can make a day trip to the beautiful capital Lisbon which is only 90 minutes drive away or to the beautiful town Obidos which is 20 minutes drive away.
