Waves Surf Camp Peru

Would definitely recommend. From the surfing lessons to the food of the hostel everything was amazing. It’s right around the corner to the main street and the beaches are just a 5 min walk away.

I had a great experience! Giancarlos is a very welcoming host. He really makes you feel at home and is flexible when it comes to making arrangements. The location is fantastic, with everything conveniently nearby. I would definitely recommend staying here and would happily come back again!

We had a brilliant time during the surf camp. It was such a great set up. Good location, homely accommodation, good food, great company and the waves were very consistent. Nacho was a great surf guide during our stay and gave us lots of local tips. Highly recommend staying with Giancarlo.

The people, the surfing, the teacher, the food, the waves were all excellent. As a solo female traveller I had a great time. Everything was chill, and exactly as I had hoped. The teachers, Antonio and Luis were also great. Other people at the hostel were also great. Everyone there to enjoy some surf and a great culture.

Great instruction with a family atmosphere. No pressure only positive encouragement. The camp is located in the beach town of Punta Hermosa close to shops , restaurants and multiple surfing sites.

Great surf camp organized by giancarlo and his friends and family. Place is cute with nice restaurants around and cool spots to surf. We enjoyed it a lot despite being out of season. Giancarlo is extremely nice and super helpful.

Really good location, minutes from left and right point breaks and consistent waves. The surf house is clean, comfy, safe and close to food, shops, and nightlife. Giancarlo knows the coast really well and always put us in the right place at the right time. The waves have a good amount of power unlike Southern California, and crowds are scarce and mellow, also unlike Southern California.

We had the most amazing week with Giancarlo and the family that is waves surf camp. It’s a unique experience combining great waves, great food and wonderful people. The house is like a big communal area, you eat all together in the homey living room making it feel very comfortable and relaxed. As we are beginners we felt super safe and well taken care of by Giancarlo with excellent teaching. To sum up, it is a slice of paradise by the beach and Giancarlo makes sure that you don’t have to worry about anything. Highly recommend this place

Treated like family ! Carlo has a good knowledge of the surf spots and took care to see that we went places that were suitable for my skill level

I spent an amazing week with Giancarlo and the rest of the team at Waves Surf Camp Peru and could not have asked for a better time.

Both Giancarlo and Arturo have very in-depth knowledge of all things surf related, are very experienced instructors and had so much patience with me. As a complete beginner, I have learnt so much about surfing and was able to improve throughout the week, all thanks to their help.

The location itself is perfect, the accommodation and atmosphere of the house made you feel right at home. A big thankyou to Francesca too for the amazing food- toda la comida estaba muy rica, gracias gracias :)

Giancarlos, Arturo and all the staff at the surf camp made me feel like home, so comfortable with so little hassle that I can enjoy the surf lessons as much as possible! They are the absolute experts of local surf breaks, and can always find the right spots based on participants' level of comfort and skill. By the end of the camp, I can truly feel the improvement! I also made friends along the way, the sense of bonding is amazing too! #buenasvibras

Loooved the hostel vibe, and the surf. Every day we went to a different place in accordance with our surf level and swell.

Great waves, great guides, great itinerary. Giancarlo and Arturo knew the spots for waves and the spots for food. Was an epic surf trip. Highly recommend.

Die Unterkunft liegt sehr zentral und man ist sehr schnell an verschiedenen Stränden.

Der Surfunterricht ist in zwei Teile unterteilt. Morgens ist man mit seinem Instructor im Wasser, welcher einem dann beim „erwischen“ der Wellen hilft. Nachmittags versucht man es dann alleine. Es werden verschiedene Spots ausgesucht an denen man surfen geht.

Die Ausrüstung ist zum Teil nicht mehr ganz auf dem neusten Stand aber an der Qualität und dem Spaß an den Stunden mangelt es nicht.

Das Essen, welches immer frisch gekocht wird ist sehr lecker und man bekommt peruanische Spezialitäten mit.
