Global Surf Camp & School

Had a fantastic week with my 15 yr old son, primarily bodyboarding, by our choice.

João was an excellent host, prepared us a great breakfast to start the day and provided advice and tips on where to go, what to do and where to eat. We had sole use of the accommodation and stayed in the private twin room. Plenty hot water, comfortable conditions and a supermarket a couple of minutes walk away for water and snacks. There was a lot of dog barking noise from nearby, but that’s outwith João’s control.

Lessons were with Mario were at Peniché, which offered the best conditions during our stay. Mario was excellent, very patient and clearly knowledgeable. The bus journeys were an adventure of their own, in the temp transport!

Equipment was of a good standard with correct sizes available and dry wetsuits provided for morning and afternoon sessions.

Areia de Branca was quite quiet as we were off-season, with sufficient restaurants for the duration of our stay. There were lots more options to eat, in nearby Lourinhà and Bolt/Uber operate, but can be a bit hit or miss with lots of cancellations.

We had a trip to Nazare which, albeit brief, was fantastic to see and an opportunity we’re grateful we didn’t miss.

Big thanks to João and Mario for a very memorable trip. We’ll definitely be back.

I had two lessons for 5 days a week and always easy access to any board and wetsuit outside of the lessons. The instructors all had very good knowledge of surfing and I really improved my skills. Also it was always the best time in the water as they just enjoy what they are doing!

The house was also good, very close to the beach and had everything you needed and more (eh nice pool!). Breakfast was good and always on time, even for early sessions.

My level has been improved owing to very sensitive instructors, customized approach with a focused on technics details.

The accommodation and its location was perfect , 2 times per day cleaning, breakfast every morning. Highly recommended for all level of surfers! Personally gonna repeat this surfcamp this year.

Joao made sure that everything is done to my pleasure. From breakfast to finding the perfect suefong spot and bringing a photographer.

The mornings were made even better with a delicious and diverse breakfast that provided the ideal start to each day's activities.

The staff was incredibly friendly, and my room was impeccably clean. The villa itself was a haven of cleanliness and comfort.

In conclusion, this surf camp exceeded my expectations in every way. With its welcoming environment, skilled trainers, pristine accommodations, and delightful meals, it's an experience I won't soon forget. Whether you're a beginner or looking to refine your skills, I wholeheartedly recommend this camp for an exceptional getaway.
