Essaouira Watersports

Initially I was a bit hesitant about booking this package as it seemed too good to be true.. I was proven wrong and I couldn’t be happier with my decision to book this. Even before I arrived in Essauria the team had added my number on WhatsApp where I could ask them any question I had including public transport, flights, etc.. this was especially important for me as it was my first time travelling solo. As soon as I arrived we started our classes. The team was also really flexible with changing start times and the duration of each class. I want to especially thank my instructor Ayub for his patience and motivation. Also the Chill Art hostel that they collaborate with made my experience so much more special.. Couldn’t recommend these guys more !

I just came back from my solo trip to Essaouira. I booked 8hrs of private lessons to up my kitesurf level, I already knew how to go back and forth but needed some help with riding upwind and doing transitions. I am really happy that I picked Essaouira Watersports to help me with this. They really took the time to get me comfortable with the kite material and the conditions in Essaouira.

My teacher Rida is very knowledgeable about everything kitesurf related, he is calm, has endless patience, is very analytical and can point out just the small details that will get you to the next level. He really gave me the confidence in my own skills, which was one of my goals.

Besides that he is also a nice, friendly and fun person. On days without wind, I took wavesurfing lessons with Ayoub, who is also a great teacher with a positive and energetic spirit and eager to push you to the next level. I have been a ski instructor myself for many years, so I know a good teacher when I see one ;)

Traveling solo can sometimes be lonely, but from the first moment I stepped into the surfschool, the Essaouira Watersports team made me feel very welcome. At some point I hurt my ankle on the beach, and they even went out of their way to care for me and help me getting the proper care I needed . All in all, I had an amazing time, was sad to leave, and already planning my next trip to Essaouira.

I'm not always this enthousiastic, but I would rate my experience 10 out 10. Highly recommend !

I went as a solo female kite trainee.

Rachid and his team were phenomenal. They helped me to get great accommodation that suited my needs. The training was expert. They were thoughtful and helpful and helped me at every step.

I had a fantastic time and would recommend them.

Yahyah was my instructor and was excellent and helped me to gain a good level in kite surfing.

I opted for 12 lessons.

I was a little apprehensive booking the most affordable kitesurfing package with only one review (albeit a 5 star review).

But trust in Rachid and the boys ahamdullalah! What an amazing experience! So well taught and organised. Medi is a really wonderful teacher - lets you make mistakes but inspires you to have fun even as you push your comfort zone each session (when you first hold a big kite ooooooft the power haha!)

Such good vibes with really beautiful people who work at Essaouira Watersports, and the chill art hostel is incredible! Gorgeous space, comfortable, hospitable staff and an easy 15 minute walk from the school.

Fantastic value, amazing teaching, and I'm now 2L certified to go and keep learning kitesurfing across the world. Do yourself a favour and book this package - and make sure to leave your own 5 star review to inspire others to experience this wonderful package themselves!

It was a wonderfull experience!!

Everybody was do helpfull.

The first days there was no wind, so they learned me to surf.

Later they did all they could tot learn me to kitesurf. And it worked. After 12 hours of lessons i could prepair my gear alone, get the kite up and start on the board. Such nice guys!! Thank you for everything and see you again next year 🙏
