Djerba Kite Aventure

The facilities for Kiting were decent and the location for being in the water was great, although not near the accommodation. The other guests were all friendly. The accommodation was a good set up and the building is quaint, clean and has a good vibe.

An outing to the souk and marina was a good morning out.

An afternoon we stayed out until the sunset which was beautiful.

One day, 3 of us kitted off the shore and just kept going and then packed the kites down in the water and came back in the boat which was great.

I really enjoyed my week there. I booked spontaneously a day ahead. The accomodation was beautiful. Every day we started Yoga at 7 due to the heat, I guess it would be possible to delay the start a bit. For breakfast we usually had bread, Shakshouka, and some sweets, it was the same breakfast every day. After you can decide if you want to join for the kite surfing immediately or later during the day. I usually spent the first half of the day exploring around the island (Taxi is cheap) and the afternoon in the surf camp. Zied is very responsive and helpful as a host. He is also a great kiting teacher, especially for beginners. I recommend to have the lesson with Zied whenever possible, there are some teachers around who are not suitable for total beginners in my opinion, so it was with Zied when I made the best progress. The hostel is located in beautiful Djerbahood with a lot of street art around. For lunch we always had sandwiches in the kite camp, for dinner we usually went out or ordered. It was an awesome week with loads of activities and nice people. Can really recommend!
