Arrival by airplane
The best way to get to us is to fly to San Jose airport (SJC). From there, the most convenient and faster, although more expensive option, is to take a local flight to Tambor (25 minutes). From there you have to take a taxi to our surf camp (1 hour, 50 USD).
From San Jose airport (SJC) take a taxi to the San Carlos (Atlantic) bus station in downtown San Jose where direct buses (Transporte Cobano) leave to Mal Pais/Santa Teresa at 06:00 and 14:00 every day (costs about 16 USD). Leave the bus in Cobano and take a taxi to Manzanillo (20 USD). The entire trip will take around 6 hours.
If you arrive in San Jose late afternoon or at night, you might want to stay in one of the many backpackers or hotels and leave the next morning.
