Zeneidas Surf Garden is located between Selina Hostel and Kika Restaurant. It is a chilled, laid-back hostel, located right on the beach and surrounded by a big beautiful garden with magic energy. Run by a group of friends, who are in love with traveling, surf, skate, yoga, and healthy lifestyle, this place becomes a part of your heart, another home to come back to because here, it always feels like home, like a family.
It has shared and private rooms with air conditioner and fans, and shared bathrooms. There are plenty of places to chill, such as hammocks in the garden, living area with TV, really good Wi-Fi, library and dining tables, two fully equipped kitchens (indoor and outdoor), fireplace on the backyard, where you make common dinners and barbecue, and a place for yoga and meditation. It also has surfboard rental on site, yoga classes, and massage.
The best part is that it is located right in front of the best surf spot in the village. You can start the day sipping your morning coffee while watching the waves crashing in the light of rising sun. No words left to describe magic sunsets with friends. If you bring your good vibes here and get connected with the magic energy of the garden, it's really hard to leave this place. Having many guests extending their stay and changing flight tickets made Zeneidas Surf Garden realize that this garden has a lot to give.
The timing for surf lessons is scheduled daily based on the level and tides. Beginners usually start practice with the low-middle tide, while "green waves" adventures are good during middle-high tide. One instructor will guide maximum of four people.
You will have one surf trip to a different surf spot.
This surf camp will take place in Santa Teresa, Costa Rica. Santa Teresa is a small, but good-enough-developed surfing village, with many options to eat out, few parties throughout the week, paradise-like beaches, and few attractions around worth exploring. The village is placed 184.5 miles (29.7 kilometers) from Tambor Airport (TMU). It has many bars, restaurants, supermarkets, bike rentals, everything you need for your surf (whether you are beginner or pro), and plenty of places to explore around. Once here, everyone inevitably falls in love with it!
The waves and swells come by with surprising constancy, with a very few days in a year not suitable for surfing. The best surf is usually in the morning, due to the onshore / sideshore wind that usually starts by the midday. Low tide means faster waves, high tide is good for longboards, but overall conditions always depend on the combination of swell direction, wind, tide, and the moon cycle.
It is a long stretch of beach with many beach breaks, so one can find a most suitable spot based on the level of surfing, slower or more turbulent, everybody gotta have fun. Zeneidas Garden usually advises the guests to explore secret waterfalls and the best place to watch the sunset, reachable by ATV, take a one-day trip to Montezuma Waterfalls, or enjoy amazing snorkeling at Isla Tortuga.
There are two communal kitchens you can use and big supermarkets nearby to prepare your own meals.
