Location

This surf camp will take place in Caleta de Famara, Spain. The paradise of Spanish surfing is the Caleta de Famara in Lanzarote Canarias. Famara Beach has become a must-see for the best surfers in the world. The origin of surfing will be in Polynesia with Hawaii at the head but the surfing paradise is much closer than you think - in Famara. Famara is in Lanzarote, a dream destination where to surf and relax with a well-deserved vacation on a beach as inspiring as captivating.

Famara is a mountain massif of volcanic origin located north of Lanzarote but the most interesting for the best surfers in the world who already know it is Famara Beach where trade winds blow and there is a perfect temperature, two very useful features to surf in Famara. The beaches of Lanzarote has black and reddish sands of volcanic origin, an enviable climate, and crystal clear waters. The island is recognized by UNESCO as a biosphere reserve. Lanzarote holds this valuable recognition since 1993 and has a very high environmental value. This is a world of unique sensations and nature that you cannot miss.

In Lanzarote, the 365 days of the year are spring. La Caleta de Famara is more than a town. As you already know, Famara is a mountain range bathed by Famara Beach in Lanzarote. It is a landscape that the inhabitants of La Caleta contemplate daily. La Caleta de Famara, known simply as La Caleta, is the small town that is located in this paradise for surfers. With its barely 1,000 inhabitants, this picturesque town welcomes visitors with open arms. In La Caleta, you can still see unpaved streets, facades painted in the traditional style with a nuclear target that reflects light everywhere, and serves the freshest and tastiest fish in the area.

Considered by many as "the pretty girl" of Lanzarote, Famara and this small town of the municipality of Teguise, they have a special charm that captures all who travel, making some of them pass the tourist threshold to the resident. Going to the viewpoint of the Risco de Famara is almost like touching the sky with your hands while you can see the great extension under our feet. At about 480 meters above sea level, on a clear day, the panorama you may observe is fabulous and allows you to see unique enclaves such as the island of La Graciosa which is part of the Chinijo Archipelago.
