The Kite Trip you were waiting for
Come with them on this incredible adventure along the coast of Ceará, covering around 270 kilometers over 7 days, getting to know the main kitesurfing spots in the state.
During this kite trip, Windspirit Kite Experience will take you to the best spots on Brazil's Northeast coast where you'll be able to go downwind every day. The downwind distance differs between 35 and 60 kilometers.
The trip begins at the famous Cumbuco Beach, one of the most famous kite spots in the world. On this first day, they will meet clients at Fortaleza airport and transfer them to the hotel. Then, you will go sailing locally, adjust your equipment, and answer any questions. In the evening, you will have dinner and they will give a briefing about the trip.
On the second day, you will depart from Cumbuco Beach and sail for about 40 kilometers to Paracurú. A very calm day of sailing to get used to the days ahead.
On the third day, you will leave Paracurú and head to Flecheiras Beach, passing by Capim-Açu and Lagoinha Beaches, arriving at your final destination after sailing for about 50 kilometers. It is an amazing route that includes some waves. A beautiful stretch, with beaches that are true postcards.
After your downwind, you will head to Mundaú to take a boat ride along the river of the same name. You will end your day watching an extraordinary sunset from the top of the dunes.
On the fourth day, you will leave Flecheiras passing through the beaches of Emboaca, Baleia, Caetanos, arriving at the charming Praia de Icaraí de Amontada, where you will have covered around 50 kilometers, a day with clearer and calmer waters.
On your fifth day, you will take a day off to explore the region of Icaraí de Amontada, Moitas, and Patos. A day to relax, take lots of photos, and enjoy an incredible sunset.
On your sixth day, you will leave Icaraí de Amontada and head to Ilha do Guajiru. This is a short 35-kilometer route, where you can enjoy some specific points to stop and take lots of photos. A short route with many mangroves and stunning landscapes.
Your seventh and final day of downwind is where you will find the strongest wind and probably the flattest conditions of the entire route, there are dozens of kilometers in very shallow waters. You will pass by the beaches of Espraiado, Arpoeiras, Aranau and Barrinha, and Preá, you will have covered about 60 kilometers on this day ending your downwind at Praia do Preá .
For those who would like to participate in this trip but have never done downwinds or prefer to sail in the same spot, you will have a car with a guide specially prepared for this. This group will travel to specific locations within your sailing route, always in the best places on each route.
