Wildside Sailing & Kiteboarding holidays invites you to a sailing, SUP, and kitesurfing on the Caribbean Sea! This holiday is for you if you are looking forward to having sailing expeditions and SUP adventures where mother nature determines the rhythm of life. Led by the dream team, Steven and Monika, you can expect to be provided with the highest standard of safety and comfort while cruising through Union Island, Mayreau, Tobago Cay Marine Park, Petit Saint Vincent, Palm Island, Petit Tabac, and Morpion. The itinerary will be built around you. Starting at Union Island, St Vincent, St Lucia, Grenada, or Martinique, Westside Sailing & Kiteboarding holidays will take you on an unforgettable trip, whether you wish to simply relax, explore the islands by boat, or kiteboard at fantastic spots.
You will be accommodated on Groovy, a 44-feet catamaran chosen for safety, comfort, and performance. Wildside Sailing & Kiteboarding holidays has thought through every detail for you, from the icemaker through to the kite launching area. With a flexible bed layout, the boat is suitable for couples, families, and groups. You can relax with a cold drink in one of the three-seating areas, both inside and out, or even sun yourself on the deck or trampoline - top spot for dolphin spotting! The boat has an easy access via swimming ladder if you fancy a dip in the sea, and there’s a convenient shower on the non-slip deck too. The taxi ashore and rescue boat is a practical three meters hard bottom zodiac dinghy with a powerful engine.
Cabins are fully featured with comfortable beds, big windows for enjoying fabulous sea views, air conditioning, a fan, and plenty of storage space for your gear. You can even charge your iPad or other devices in your cabin! Every cabin has an en-suite bathroom with electric toilet and separate shower area.
Spending three to four days around Union Island, you will be taken to two great kitesurfing spots, the favorite being flat water Frigate. You will also go to Happy Island, made famous by Jeremy Tronet, and if the timing is right you will be kiteboarding under the full moon and celebrating the full moon party at the JT Pro centre! Another stop is Spot of Cliffton, often the beginning or finishing point of a downwind session with the catamaran and rescue boat in attendance.
After Union Island, you will be taken to Mayreau for two to three days in which you will feel the true Caribbean vibe when you visit one of the local bars. The kitesurfing spot of Mayreau with its small waves is usually the guests' pick of choice, and for advanced riders there is a space with glassy flat water where you can impress people with your skills and get amazing photos.
After Mayreau, you will have a day when you can snorkel in the famous Tobago Cay Marine Park, kiteboarding with turtles and have the option of a downwinder to Union. Here, you can feast on lobster at the beach with your feet in the sand.
If the weather and time permit, you will also be taken to:
At most kiteboarding spots, you can choose between boat and beach launches to suit your preference or ability, and between islands you can usually have a downwind session.
Steve’s sailing experience goes back to when he was a wee lad (childhood) as a cadet in Royal Australian Naval Reserve Cadets, competing and even winning junior class sailing regattas. His professional career led him to the waterfront where he could combine his work with his passion. Being a surfer, wakeboarder, scuba diver and general water man leads to becoming involved in the water-sports business in tourism and studying for maritime commercial licenses.
Monika’s dream and a passion for traveling to exotic locations lead to her choice of studies, tourist industries, enabling her to enter into a professional career in tourism and see the world. After graduation, she left Poland to work and live in various countries. Her path begins in Tunisia leading to France and Capo Verde. It’s on Sal Island in 2008 that she discovers kiting. From this point on, inspired by her newfound passion of kiteboarding and the sea, her choice of working destinations is based on the wind conditions.
Enjoy the Caribbean Islands' vibe from the luxury of your own sailboat. Drink in the tropical sun during endless days of sailing the islands, snorkel and dive reefs, enjoy food on your barbeque, and relax with a rum cocktail under a palm tree on a beautiful sandy beach. You are here for the ideal conditions of the trade winds cruising the remote small islands of Grenadines, where you will find the best spots, both flat water and waves, near your favorite anchorages. Whether simply snorkeling the stunning reefs or doing SUP, you may well find the water warm enough to not need your wetsuit!
This package includes full-board meals but excludes alcohol. Sitting at the table with fresh food and tropical fruits and sharing stories of the day on the water is the moment when you are all really brought together. Monika will ensure that everything on your plate is mouthwateringly food whether it is a simple BBQ on board, or on the beach, or gourmet. All meals are homemade using healthy, local products to ensure that you absorb the ambiance of the local area and have loads of energy for an active day.
