8 Days Fantastic Surf Camp in Sagres, Algarve, Portugal

Facilities

Start the day with a great breakfast at around 08:30. Once the coffee begins to take effect, the team will make the plan of the day and decide the surfing destination of the day. You will leave around 9:30 to the beach with better conditions where you start with a short introduction and warm up. After 12:30 and two hours in the water, it's lunchtime.

After the break, you will start the second class of the day. At the end of this surf day, you will be tired and your level of endorphins is very high, then it is time to go back to the beach and have a warm bath. Generally, Wavesensations' team organizes night tours to typical restaurants where everyone is welcomed.

After an excellent dinner, depending on your energy, it's time for a drink in the bars or if you want to go rest to prepare for the next day. On Thursdays, you will join the group and go to the most southwestern point of Europe, Cabo de São Vicente, to see the sunset. This a special moment that Wavesensations want to share with everyone.

On the last day of the course, usually Fridays, it is time to review all week and share all the emotions with the other participants, so you will join in for a barbecue, where everyone is welcomed.

Surf level chart

Beginner

• Never surfed before or a few times
• Demonstrate surf awareness, safety, and self-rescue skills to safely participate in activities in the surf environment
• Trim along on broken or peeling waves up to half a meter

Intermediate

• Beginner checklist
• Perform top and bottom turns, cut-backs, and re-entries in surf up to three feet (one meter)

Advanced

• Beginner and intermediate checklist
• Perform a range of maneuvers (roundhouse cut-back, snap vertical re-entry, floater, tube) in one meter plus surf at different surf breaks

A trip to St. Vincente Cape to watch the sunset is included in this package.

A breakfast buffet is served each morning and is included in the package. Usually, you will dine together every night. Dinner consists of everything from a large barbecue at the camp to eating at a restaurant in the village with all the staff. Everyone is welcome to join, so even if you are traveling alone, you will have dinner companions from day one. Each surfing day you will get a lunch box with a sandwich, bottle of water, fruit, and cereal bar.

• A reservation requires a deposit of 15% of the total price.
