I have had the pleasure of using Wave Guru for surf guiding whilst in Bali the last two times and I have been and would never imagine using anyone else. Dee and her friendly cooks make the most amazing food to fuel you post surfs. I still dream about the noodles. The surf spots Nick and his team take you are always epic and uncrowded, which means that you get lots of waves and surfed out. The house is amazing and everyone is so welcoming. I am currently organizing my third trip now and totally frothing to get back over there. I cannot speak more highly of this place.

This was my second time staying at Wave Guru and I can't say enough good things about staying with Nick and Dee. Best people, best waves. They truly make you feel like family. If you love to surf then this is your paradise. Great vibes. I plan on going back at least once a year.

There were two or three surfing sessions available every day. At each surf session we go and check out a selection of beaches to find the most suitable for our group ability according to the surf forecast, since they know every inch of every beach and current etcetera. There was awesome guidance, support, advice, and pushing into the wave if needed. The food was amazing, tasty, and plentiful. Everyone is super friendly and helpful. A few people are living there or like on their tenth surfcamp! This is how good it is!

Great crew, hospitality, food, and good vibes - it just doesn't get any better. I had originally booked for 2 weeks, but ended up staying much, much longer. I just couldn't get enough! The waves were incredible, and Nick always knew the right spot to go for your skill level (which made the 5am wake up calls a little bit more bearable). If you're not tired after the 2 (or 3) surfs per day, you can kick back with a few beers, play some pool, and maybe even enjoy an epic night out with the crew. This was my first stop in Indo, and I'm still unsure why I ever left. Can't wait to go back!

I've been there twice and already booked third trip. Wave Guru Bali Surf Camp is not a surf camp, its not a home stay, its staying with your family, literally. Awesome place for individual travelers or couples who are crazy passionate about surfing like I am. Accommodation is very nice, quiet, clean, with lot of activities in case no waves. Good food 4 times per day, Friday BBQ's, fridge full of beers, what else do you need :) Location is perfect with close distance similar-ish to East or West coast to all world class surf beaches, good conditions for traveling/surfing year round. To Kuta downtown (bars, restaurants, shopping etc) it takes only couple minutes. With local area knowledge and local surf guides, you get so much surfing you'll be looking forward to get some rest. I can't wait to be back!

I went to stay with Nick (The Wave Guru) back in September of 2014 based on a friend's recommendation and couldn't have been happier with my stay. It was like I instantly became part of the family except this family was full of cool helpful people living in the middle of paradise with an amazing chef who churned out unbelievable food and surf. Nick got me into perfect waves for me - un-crowded and head high. There was a massive swell hitting the island so we were able to break the group up according to skill level and he brought me to places that were a little mellower. His knowledge of the island is unbelievable; he looks online at the swell, and the wind, and who he has surfing with him and picks great spots. Then drives out with you, tells you all about the island along the way, and surfs with you. I had never been there before so I was a little cautious, and my skill level isn't great so Nick told me exactly where to sit to catch waves. Generally we would do two surf trips a day in unbelievable waves. Accommodation: The house is really nice, rooms and beds are comfortable with AC, and it has a great common area to hang out with the other guest, relax, shoot pool, goof around on the balance board, or just enjoy a beer after surfing. During my stay there were surfers of all skill levels from Australia, Russia, and several from the US staying at the house. It made for great story telling. I suspect that Nick is somehow selective for who stays with him because everyone there was cool. Food: First of all, Nick's wife was on an American cooking show. Enough said. She has mad skills and she has trained the staff to cook as well. Secondly - Second breakfast is the most important meal of the day. We kept saying that the whole trip because we would all wake up early to surf and have "first breakfast" and coffee before heading out, then after our morning surf Nick would call back to the house with what everyone wanted for "second breakfast". It sounds like too much but it is actually perfect. Little tip - Get the omelet with everything and the spicy noodles for second breakfast. You won't regret it.The trip was over a year ago and I can honestly say it changed my life for the better. I definitely take things a little less seriously now. I didn't cut my hair for 8 months after I got back. For everything that you get it costs next to nothing too. I would recommend the surf Guru to anyone. Nick - I want to come back! Maybe in September this year?

Where to start? Wave Guru was the best surfing experience of my life, Nick and Dee welcome you to their family and it is an amazing experience. The surf guiding is amazing, we always had back up spots if the first spot wasn't working. Nick knows Bali like the back of his hand! My surfing and confidence improved dramatically. If you really want to score good waves and improve your surfing Wave Guru is the place for you. The accommodation is really cozy and has a great chill out area to play pool, table tennis or watch movies. The food is 5 star, Nicks wife, Dee, is an amazing chef and every meal was brilliant! I cant highlight enough how good the food was! Overall a brilliant experience and would recommend to anyone who enjoys good surfing, good food and good company to stay at Wave Guru!
