During this holiday, you will be accommodated in apartments close to the center. It has free parking and it is good that it is close because around the surf beach, there is a problem with parking. The terrace of the apartments has no sea views but it allows guests to enjoy a refreshing beverage in the hot summer evenings.

It is located in a very relaxed and quiet area! The apartment has a nice garden around with a barbecue area that you can use. Each apartment is for a maximum of two people and has one room, a separate kitchen, toilet, and a nice terrace; it also comes with free Wi-Fi and air-conditioner.

Program

Beginner windsurfing course

This course is intended for those persons that are new to this sport and are willing to learn the first basic steps to become a windsurfer. The windsurfing courses have been created following many years of experience. At the end of the course, you will get a VDWS license which is valid all over the world. The groups are small with a maximum of 4 - 5 people.

The course lasts one and a half hours per day. The course includes theory with windsurfing simulators, practical part on the water, the last day exam and windsurfing VDWS license. You will learn how to come back to the same point from where you started. This is really important to learn so that you don't lose high.

The international team of multilingual teachers gives everyone the maximum benefit. Above all, learning success, fun, and team spirit count. Many students return each year, either to improve their learning skills or to use the rental station.

The beginner course program

  • Getting to know your equipment (and how to rigg it)
  • Basics of the wind and safety and the rules of right of way
  • Start and the right position on windsurf
  • Windsurfing downwind and upwind
  • Turning downwind and upwind (jibe and tack)
  • Returning to the start point

Advanced windsurfing course

This advanced windsurfing lesson is a great way to learn new maneuvers such as beach starts and how to use a harness. At the end, you will get your VDWS license which is valid all over the world. The groups are not big with a maximum of 4 people.

The course lasts one and a half hours per day. For 4 days, it includes theory with windsurfing simulators, practical part on the water, the last day exam and windsurfing VDWS license. In this package, you will first remember the basic stuff. .

The international team of multilingual teachers gives everyone the maximum benefit. Above all, learning success, fun, and team spirit count. Many students return each year, either to improve their learning skills or to use the rental station.

This vacation will take place in Water Donkey Kitesurfing and Windsurfing Center - Viganj, on the peninsula of Peljesac, one of the windiest and the most popular kitesurfing destinations in Croatia.

Viganj is one of the most well-known windsurfing and kitesurfing spots in Croatia because it is situated in the middle of a narrow channel between Peljesac and Korcula. The wind tends to blow twice as fast as it usually does in the Adriatic, providing ideal conditions for windsurfing and for learning how to wind-surf. At Water Donkey Kitesurfing Center, you can get all kinds of windsurfing lessons according to Verein Deutscher Wassersport Schulen (VDWS) standards.

How to get there

Recommended Airports

Arrival by airplane

From Split Airport (SPU): You can travel to Viganj with a bus or a ferry boat. If you decide to take the bus from the airport, there is a regular bus connection to city bus station, and from bus station there are daily bus connections to Orebić, every day going at 1 a.m. and arrives in Orebic at 6 a.m.. The cost is about 150 HRK or 20 EUR. From Orebić, Water Donkey Kitesurfing and Windsurfing Center can pick you up or you take a taxi to Viganj (100 HRK or 15 EUR).

From Dubrovnik Airport (DBV): As your first option, there is a regular connection to city bus station, and from bus station there are daily connections to Orebić. The bus is going every day at 3 p.m. and it arrives in Orebic at 5:25 p.m. The cost is about 100 HRK or 15 EUR. From Orebić, Water Donkey Kitesurfing and Windsurfing Center can pick you up or you can take a taxi (100 HRK or 15 EUR).

Arrival by ferry

If you go by ferry - take a regular bus from Split Airport (SPU) to the ferry harbor. Take the fast ferry which is going every day 7:40 a.m., 3:30 p.m., 4 p.m., and from 1:06 a.m. - 1:10 a.m., it goes at 7:30 a.m., 07:40 a.m., 10 a.m., 3:30 p.m., and 5 p.m. to Korčula. You will arrive in three hours to Korcula From Korčula, Water Donkey Kitesurfing and Windsurfing Center can pick you up with their boat for free. The price from Split to Korčula with ferry is 60 HRK or 9 EUR for one-way ticket.

Your second option is the daily fast ferry, which takes two hours. The fast ferry goes from Dubrovnik town to town Korcula at 4 p.m., 4:30 p.m., and from May 30 to September 28, also at 7 p.m. It takes 2 hours to arrive. The ferry station is in town Dubrovnik you go with bus or car to ferry station in Korcula, the team can pick you up with their boat for free. The journey Dubrovnik - Korcula takes two hours.

Arrival by taxi

A final third option is that Water Donkey Kitesurfing and Windsurfing Center arranges a taxi which will cost 170 EUR per way with a maximum of four people per car. You may also rent a car in Dubrovnik, which is another nice way to come to Viganj.

Cancellation Policy

  • A reservation requires a deposit of 60% of the total price.
  • The deposit is non-refundable, if the booking is cancelled.
