The camp will take place in Huanchaco, Trujillo, Peru. The surf hostel is located two blocks away from the beach 'La Curvita' in Huanchaco, where you can always count on good surfing conditions, especially for beginners and intermediate surfers.
Huanchaco
Huanchaco is an extraordinary surf destination in Peru. It is a nice, relaxed town where you can chill at the beach, enjoy the delicious Peruvian food in one of the plenty of restaurants, or have a drink at night. If you are interested in Peru's culture, some famous archaeological sites of the pre-Columbian cultures of the Chimus and Moches are very close. Huanchaco has consistent waves, thousands of years of surf history, excellent hospitality, and competitions for all ages.
There are five separate breaks in Huanchaco, stretching across over a kilometer of beaches, for all different surf levels. Most breaks here work at all tides. Currents in Huanchaco can be strong. Although the currents are usually not dangerous, they can certainly give you a workout! In September, along with the start of the Peruvian spring, sand movements begin; the rocky beaches can be covered with sand until the summer. These sand movements can cause some small variations in the breaks and their position. Besides surfing, you can hang out in town.
