If you want to learn how to kitesurf and you are looking for an amazing activity-packed holiday, Zanzibar is just the place for you! During this kitesurfing holiday, you can go from zero to hero in only one week, while doing twice as much time with an instructor compared to a normally booked course. After the week, you will be able to go on trips and kite with your friends easily!
Uhuru Beach Resort has 17 sea-facing bungalows situated right on the beach. All rooms are no more than 10 meters away from the sea. Each bungalow has its own small terrace or patio, where you can sit and enjoy the spectacular views of the Indian Ocean.
The rooms all have their own bathroom, mosquito nets, and fans. You can choose between a single and a double room. The resort has a rooftop lounge, bar, and also a bar on the beach serving food all day.
During this kitesurfing course, you will get a total of 12 hours of kite lessons with an instructor. The hours and times are arranged at your convenience, but it is recommended to take two hours per day per person. A normal itinerary includes two hours daily for six days and one day for a theory and safety lesson. This lesson can be arranged at any point within the seven days of your holiday.
The basic breakdown is as follows. One to four hours training kite set up, safety, and learning control. Then, four to eight hours of body dragging in the water, learning to control power, understanding the wind, and how to use the board. And, finally, eight to 12 hours practicing riding on the board, how to stay upwind, turning riding switch, and small jumps if you are ready.
