Ride the waves in one of Costa Rica’s world-renowned surf destinations! On this surf camp, you will surf in secluded surfing spots with guidance from local surfers who know the waves. As a home to plenty of wildlife with more than 275 species of birds and a myriad of other animals, the pristine tropical rain forest in Tiskita Jungle Lodge’s 800-acre private biological reserve will make your trip unforgettable.
You will be accommodated in a cabin-style accommodation at Tiskita Jungle Lodge. There are nine private cabins with a total of 17 rooms. Each of the cabins features bathroom with hot water, orthopedic mattresses, ceiling fan, shaded deck, screened-in room, lounging chairs, and hammocks.
You can enjoy the ocean view from each cabin. The cabin interior has been decorated with a natural touch. The cabins spread out around the lodge and will ensure your privacy. You can reach the rain forest and the beach with just a few minutes' walk.
During this surf camp, you will enjoy two half-day surf lessons with experienced instructors. You will also get two guided hikes in the beautiful Costa Rica.

Your place of stay, The Tiskita Jungle Lodge, is located along the far edge Costa Rica’s southern Pacific coast. Set between the town of Pavones and the country of Panama, it is one of the most remote and naturally beautiful areas of Costa Rica.
There is a beach break right in front of Tiskita Jungle Lodge. It is an excellent spot to surf for both beginners and experts, with little to no other surfers around. Punta Banco has two more beach breaks.
Pavones, just seven kilometers away, is a world-renowned surf destination with one of the world’s longest left breaks. The break in Pavones is a point break.
Three daily meals with family-style dining will be served for you during the surf camp. The kitchen staff will prepare both traditional Costa Rican and Western dishes. You can also enjoy coffee, tea, hot chocolate milk, tropical fruit juice, and filtered water.
Vegetarian diets or other special dietary requirements can be easily accommodated by Tiskita Jungle Lodge. The food is cooked in a healthy way by using as much as possible fresh vegetables and meat that are sourced locally.
There are several airplane routes that you can take to reach Tiskita Jungle Lodge. The first one is the regional flight from San José International Airport (SJC) to Golfito Airport (GLF). From there, you can take a taxi to Tiskita lakes.
The second one is the regional flight from San José International Airport (SJC) to Puerto Jiménez Airport (PJM). From there, take a boat trip to Tiskita Jungle Lodge. It takes approximately 45 minutes.
The third one is a direct charter flight from San José International Airport (SJC) to Tiskita Jungle Lodge. It can be arranged for you anytime between 6 a.m. and 2.30 p.m. The charter plane company can pick you up and leave directly from the Juan Santamaría International Airport (SJO) and Tobías Bolaños International Airport (SYQ).
From San José, take a bus that goes to Golfito. The bus ride takes approximately seven hours. From Golfito, take a bus that goes to Tiskita Jungle Lodge. The bus driver can stop at Tiskita Jungle Lodge’s entrance gate.
