The Tiny Whale Surf Lodge is just five minutes from the picturesque cobbled street town of Lagos, with its fantastic restaurants and vibrant nightlife. You can choose from 11 specially designed options to improve your skills and confidence while exploring this magical part of Europe. You can also test a wide variety of equipment from Naish and Fanatic, including dedicated race boards, SUP inflatables, wave riding boards, and a variety of paddles.
You can tailor the week based on your preferences and experience. You will be able to pick up to two SUP sessions a day: sunrise cave and grotto tour, sardine lagoon run, river tour, paddle technique workshop, race conditioning, downwinder, introduction to wave riding, beginner SUP surfing, intermediate SUP surfing, SUP yoga, or night SUP with underwater lights.
Launching from Praia Dona Ana Beach, you will follow the dramatic limestone cliffs of the south coastline. Weaving in between the famous rock formations of the Algarve, you will explore caves and a vast network of grottos only accessible via SUP and kayak. The three-hour tour is ideal for all SUP levels, with calm flat crystal clear water and a chance to soak up the sun. It is the most popular of SUP activities in the Algarve.
Feel the power of the wind on your back on the downwinder SUP session. With two coastlines to explore, there are plenty of downwinder routes to try. Launching from one beach, you will head down the wind, following the coastline to a designated pick-up beach. This relaxed SUP tour is one not to be missed. Paddling across Alvor Lagoon, weaving between moored super yachts and traditional sailboats. You will have a chance to stop mid-tour for freshly grilled sardines caught that morning by the local fishermen. Sardines are best enjoyed with a glass of local wine or an ice-cold beer. This tour is definitely one for foodies.

Join experienced yoga instructor, Miri, for a fantastic dynamic yoga session on a stand up paddleboard. SUP yoga is fantastic for the mind and body. Using the board as a mat, you will move through sequences of yoga poses, improving your balance and flexibility. SUP yoga is not just for experienced yogis, each session will be adapted based on your ability.

Lagos bus station delivers passengers from a variety of operators from all over Portugal. Buses are frequent, well maintained, and are good value.
Good value rail links from east and north bring passengers through to Lagos station.
