Roxy Week is Tiny Whale's exclusive girls only surf safari for beginner or beginner-intermediate surfers. Join other like-minded ladies for a week of surf, stand up paddleboarding, and yoga in the Algarve, and experience a holiday with a difference! Learn new skills whilst enjoying the unspoiled beaches and beautiful weather. You will surf at Europe’s top surf spots, paddle tranquil waterways, restore your body with Miri’s yoga program, hike a magical cliff top trail, and meet fantastic new people.
The homey surf lodge has plenty of options and provides the perfect setting for a group week. The pool, games room, fire pit, hammocks, and luscious outdoor area give plenty of space to relax between activities.
Private en-suite rooms, glamping teepees, and friendly shared rooms are available. Simply choose your preferred set-up. Getting your perfect space depends on availability, of course, and as Roxy Week is one of the most popular events, it’s best to book your slot as early as possible.

If you prefer not to share, upgrade to a private room. Simply request during the booking process. They have single, double, twin, and combination private rooms available so you can even get together with a small group of friends for the week.
Shared rooms bring the perfect opportunity to really get to know other Roxy girls. The shared accommodation is spacious, bright, and equipped with everything you need to feel at home, including cozy blankets in case there’s a cool evening breeze.
Learn or improve in a pressure free environment. This program is available for complete beginners up to intermediate surfers. By the end of the week you'll have new confidence in the water and on your board. The Level Two ISA instructors teach according to ability, in small groups of three, use video coaching and land based theory sessions, so you're guaranteed to improve whatever your level is.
Yoga is the perfect partner to surfing. The yoga teacher, Miri, has years of experience working with surfers and paddleboarders. Morning classes get your body warmed up for the activities ahead whilst evening sessions counteract tired, stiff muscles, opening up areas of the body holding tension after physical activity. These classes help your body and mind feel fantastic throughout the week.
Stand up paddleboarding (SUP) is a great way to explore the local waterways and coastline whilst learning some new board skills. Your SUP activity will suit the conditions of the day. Whether that’s exploring caves along the coast or the stunning nearby lake, you're sure to have a fantastic day out.
Enjoy a coastal hike with stunning views of crystal clear waters and the region’s rugged cliffs. Discover secret beaches, exotic plants and wildlife, and savor the smell of wild herbs growing along the way. Refresh after the hike with a sea view lunch in a beautiful local fishing village.
Be ready with a comfy bikini, some factor 30, and your phone fully charged because this will be photo opportunity central. Start off with an energizing yoga session with Miri and dig into your healthy breakfast. You’ll need the energy for paddling. Then you’re off! Cruise in the surf van through beautiful Portuguese countryside to the best beach of the day.
Your instructors will guide you with advice and a lesson on the beach before you start practicing in the water. After a few hours with the sand and waves, head back to the surf lodge to rinse the salt out of your hair, take some pool-side hammock time, and enjoy your healthy dinner. End the evening talking about your day around the fire with other Roxy ladies, often from all over the world.
A short drive takes you to some of the best surf spots in Europe, with pristine sandy beaches. The local area has great opportunities for a variety of activities.

During your stay, you will be provided with seven healthy breakfasts, five beach picnics on your days at the beach, and five delicious three-course evening meals at the lodge, from the in-house chef. The experienced chef has a passion for fresh, healthy food, utilizing local produce.
Breakfasts are varied, lunches are packed for surf days, and evenings bring delicious three-course meals. There's also a weekly 'make-your-own-pizza’ and barbeque night. Most dietary needs can be catered for. Gluten free, vegetarian, and vegan options are available on request. Simply discuss with the bookings team before you arrive.
There’s plenty to see and Tiny Whale know the best places to take you to. Hike along a clifftop path, discover Lagos on a night out, see the unspoiled West Coast beaches of the national park, and walk the cobbled streets of local fishing villages. The surf lodge enjoys the tranquility of a peaceful countryside setting whilst still being close to the historical town of Lagos where you'll find all the amenities you will need.

There are three main airports that service the Algarve Region, which are Lisbon Portela Airport (LIS), Seville Airport (SVQ), and Faro Airport (FAO). For internal European flights, Faro Airport (FAO) is often the best option and offers unbeatable value for the cheapest flights into Portugal.
Seville Airport (SVQ) also offers cheap flights from many of the main discount flight companies. Lisbon Portela Airport (LIS) is normally reserved for international flights from farther a field, but a good bus and train service down to the Algarve still makes this journey very possible.
Lagos bus station delivers passengers from a variety of operators from all over Portugal. Buses are frequent, well-maintained, and of good value.
There are good value rail links from the East and North which bring passengers through to Lagos station.
