During this retreat, you will be guided by Ines Tralha, a passionate surfer, and experienced surf coach. Tiny Whale Surf and Kite Lodge limits the week to just 8 spots so that they can make sure you have plenty of one to one tuition. Before you book in, they'll chat about your surf level and experience. This means they can group you with other women of the same level, so you can all truly progress throughout the week.
You will start the week with a video coaching session. You’ll receive an individualized plan and targets for the week. With plenty of in-water tuition and further video coaching in the week, the proven training plan will fast-track your surfing in just one week. You will also have lessons in reading forecasts, choosing the right beach based on conditions and you’ll build the confidence to surf independently on future trips.
During this retreat, you will learn about surfing's positioning. The key is to understanding the correct position in the lineup to get great waves and abide by surf etiquette. Then, you will improve your paddling technique and learn how to spot channels for paddling out back. Through this camp, you will understand which waves to go for and riding down the line to perfecting your takeoff so you don't catch the wave straight into the shore.
The next thing is learning how to start working on top and bottom turns or improve your current technique. This camp will also help you to learn to read surf forecasts and choose the right spot for your level. With this surf camp, you will also understand about the cardio and strength training you can do to improve your surf sessions.

Bursting with the sunshine and known for it's laid-back lifestyle, the Western Algarve is the perfect holiday destination to unwind and recharge with some deserved rest and recuperation. Whether you achieve this by exploring the fantastic culture and unspoiled countryside, chilling out and catching some waves at some of Europe's most stunning beaches, or want to find adventure taking part in the endless outdoor activities on offer, the choice is yours.
Well away from the mainstream Eastern Algarve international tour operators, the West has largely stayed underdeveloped and still retains its natural charm. Traveling just half an hour from either the south or west coast up through the countryside to the Monchique mountain at 1000 meters, the whole area is speckled with small villages and towns with one foot in past. You can find traditional coffee shops, bakers, fresh produce from local producers and artisan craftsmen all selling their wares. Don't miss out on the local cuisine of this area either with a cataplana (fresh fish stew), barbecued sardines and a pastilla de nata for dessert.
Daily delicious surfer breakfasts with pancakes, fresh fruit, muesli, and freshly baked bread, healthy beach lunches, and dinners in-house (two with wine) are all included in the package.
