With 8 years of experience as a yoga instructor and surfer from Portugal, Helena brings a wealth of knowledge to each session. Her journey with yoga began as a way to combat anxiety, leading her to complete a 200-hour course. A transformative trip to Costa Rica inspired her to embrace a new life teaching yoga full-time in Tamarindo. An avid surfer, Helena also teaches surfing and is dedicated to empowering women to connect with their inner strength. She believes yoga is a holistic approach to living well, particularly as we age.

Alvaro, a Venezuelan native, discovered his passion for surfing on the waves of Chirimena 19 years ago. This journey led him to the beautiful shores of Tamarindo. He is the owner and lead instructor at Tidal Wave Surf Academy. Alvaro is an ISA-certified surf instructor with extensive experience teaching people of all ages. Alvaro believes that the ocean provides peace and relaxation for everyone. Through his lessons, he aims to teach the fundamentals of surfing and inspire his students to find balance and tranquility in their own lives.
