Matt’s Surf Lodge is the original super chilled surf lodge in Newquay. Meanwhile, The Blue Door offers a chic, modern, homely experience and the Trebarwith Hotel has unbeatable views over Newquay Bay. They are all conveniently located a short walk from Great Western, Newquay Bay, Fistral Beach, bars, and shops. You will have full access to Ticket to Ride Surf School and surf coaches, where they have a large fleet of surfboards for all levels of surfers and video surf coaching for improvers.
Matt’s Surf Lodge has a bunch of shared bunk rooms, while The Blue Door offers modern, stylish double rooms, and the Trebarwith has private rooms and the facilities you’d expect from a larger hotel.
For you who are here for the first time, Ticket to Ride Surf School will take you to the basics of wave riding and water safety on the beach before getting stuck into catching the whitewater waves, lying, and standing on your surfboard.
All equipment is included in the price of your lesson. This includes a full-length wetsuit, boots (depending on the time of year), and a soft foam surfboard. You are allocated one of soft foam boards that is specially designed for the beginners. These boards are soft, buoyant, stable and easy to catch waves on.
Ticket to Ride Surf School has a variety of different length boards to cater for all shapes and sizes. Therefore, Ticket to Ride Surf School makes sure that they have the perfect apparatus for you to start catching your first waves.
This surf camp is located in Newquay, Cornwall. It is located just 50 meters from the consistent surf breaks of Newquay Bay and has a private access to Great Western and Towan Beach via steps just a few meters from the changing rooms. There is plenty of parking and a stunning viewing point for the day’s surf.
During this surf camp, you will be served daily breakfast. At Matt’s Surf Lodge, you can help yourself to an unlimited continental breakfast available until 11 a.m., free tea / coffee all day, and full kitchen facilities are available. Meanwhile, The Blue Door offers you a modern twist on bed and breakfast style food every morning from 8 to 10 a.m. that will be sure to set you up for a big day of surfing. The Trebarwith has a bar restaurant and outdoor seating area which is the ideal spot to watch the surf. If you’re doing the full day, Ticket to Ride Surf School suggests that you bring some lunch.
