We spent 1 week at this fabulous place.
Marco the Manager was very nice and helpful in all ways.
Very clean and nice rooms that was big and spacious and the 3 of us did never feel that we didn't have space.
For all kind of water sports Marco and his staff was very professional.
Very calm and relaxing area and location of the property.
Also the staff from the hotel Coral Reef was friendly and had a teamwork and facilities together with Surfescape
We also found the local Maasai very helpful and friendly all times
We can recommend another beach with a lot of locals and superb water nearby, Kairo Beach 5 min south by taxi from Surfescape
Sometimes the ocean was low but then we could cool down in the nice and clean pool
The only thing we cold Scandinavians missed some evenings was the A/C
We can recommended a portable fan in addition from the stationary fan in the ceiling
In all we really want to recommend this nice place and it's surroundings
Thank you Marco and Staff

The staff at surf escape are great and very helpful. You can see they live for the sport and love to give the chance for other to enjoy the sport. The rooms are basic and to be honest need renovation. They are situated on the same site as Coral reef hotel which is not a good hotel and would highly recommend not eating in the restaurant. If your into the surf scene Marco and his crew I'm sure will always be welcome to see you and give you a great time in the water
Surfescape Village is basically part of the Coral Reef Resort, they share the same ground. Me and two friends stayed here for 3 nights and had a great time. The bungalows are big and clean, the hotel ground itself is neatly decorated and the staff is very welcoming. There were only 2 things I would mention on the negative side: The booking process in the beginning was very slow and confusing. I emailed Surfescape Village asking for a room and it took us about 1,5 weeks to finalise everything, which was a bit annoying. The second thing is the dinner, which for 20 US Dollar per person for a buffett of mainly semi good European ( especially Italian ) dishes, is not really recommendable. Except for these 2 aspects the hotel is beautiful and recommendable.

Our stay at Surfescape was like a dream! Unfortunately the manager was away for private matters and we couldn't do any surfing, but the place made well up for this. The bungalows are very romantic and really give you the feeling like you found paradise. We loved the fresh flowers on our bed every day (nice detail)! The rooms are tidy, well equipped and being cleaned every day. Coming out of your room in the morning and seeing the beautiful turqouise ocean first thing is sensational. Thereby, I loved having food and relaxing in the common rooms with view on the ocean. It was just perfect. It has to be said that the hotel is not centrally located at all and there is not much in the area around. However, taxis are available or you take the cheap bus and problem solved!
The bedrooms are simple but functional, perfectly clean, opening to a garden with a beautiful view on the ocean. Marco, the host, is a passionate and welcoming kiteboarder. i went there with my family, and took the kitesurfing lessons, the school benefits from great wind conditions and best spot on the beach. Thank you guys, see you on February !
