Rachel has lived in Bali for over three years now. She owns The Pineapple House, a retreat for surfers and yogis. What she doesn't know about the island isn't worth knowing. She has been busy researching all of the best places to eat and can't wait to share those with you. Her teachings are heavily focused on alignment and working deeply with the breath. She is also a postural alignment therapist, breath work coach, lifestyle mentor, and masseuse. She teaches a range of styles from Hatha, Vinyasa and Ashtanga to Yin, Restorative, and meditation.

"Everything Was As Expected!"
I like the location of The Pineapple House. It was so quiet and serene. The view from my room was very nice; it was so relaxing especially in the afternoon. The people who assisted me during my stay - Era, Agus, Sunny and Putu, they are all amazing! I would definitely recommend The Pineapple House to all! :)

"Cozy, home like atmosphere"
The Pineapple House was wonderful! All the hosts were super friendly and the cozy villa made it really feel like home. Other visitors were super friendly as well and it was nice to share experiences and get to know people around the world. You were able to spend nice quiet relaxing time by yourself and also experience lively and laugh filled conversations.

"5 days wasn't enough"
Everything was amazing! Big thanks to Era, Putu and Rachel!
I knew I wanted to make my first solo trip to Bali worthwhile coming all the way from California, so I decided to stay at the Pineapple House for 21 days. Based on the reviews combined with the extremely welcoming vibe I got from Rachel leading up to my trip, deciding to stay at the Pineapple House was by far the best decision I ever made.
I didn't want a full fledged surf/yoga retreat that was extremely structured as I wanted to be able to go off and explore the rest of Bali. Whether it be an overnight or day trip to Ubud, Nusa Lembongan, a bike trip up the east coast to Lovina or just taking the scooter around and getting lost - the Pineapple House was the perfect place to make this happen!
With the house being tucked away from the jam packed roads of Bali, yet close enough to amazing eateries and the beach - the type of people the Pineapple House attracts absolutely makes the experience wonderful as there are only 3 rooms in the house. I made some amazing friends during my 3 weeks here and I am forever grateful for the people I have met.
Desa Seni Resort is next door where you will get vouchers for your yoga classes. This by far was the most beautiful setting I have ever practiced at - hearing the birds and animals chirp in the background with wonderful instructors, Angela and Bernd's classes were my favorite. Fly High Yoga is definitely a good time as well!
Above everything else though, the staff is incredible at the Pineapple House. This can absolutely make or break an experience. Rachel has done an amazing job hiring the best in the business and it shows. Rachel is a truly genuine individual and you can feel her positive energy as soon as you meet her. Having a dog myself, I loved Rachel's dogs greeting me upon arrival every day as well. Era who oversees the day to day operations is an absolute sweetheart (Chile and Emily, too :) - her massage treatments are hands down the best I have ever had. Putu is just lovely, she will make delicious breakfasts every morning and always has a smile on her face. Having spent 11 surf sessions with Sunni, it was a joy to venture out into the waves with him - he has such an infectious personality and I truly looked forward to getting up at 6am to surf bright and early as I know it'd make for a fun morning.
Having left the Pineapple House not even 24 hours ago, and the last words that Agus (the driver/rockstar who took me to the airport at 5am) said to me were, "don't forget me" - that to me, was precious. The Pineapple House has left a lasting impression on me that I will cherish forever, I look forward to coming back again in the future when I make it back to Bali.
Thank you Rachel and your team, you guys are incredible!
I absolutely adored my time at the Pineapple House. What made my trip was the care I felt from Era and Rachel, a cozy (aesthetically pleasing) place to rest and recuperate, and amazing surf sessions with Suni! I have done a luxury retreat in Bali and felt that the individual attention that the Pineapple House paid to me was outstanding and set this trip apart from others I have taken. The yoga that is located close to the house has great teachers and a wide variety of classes offered. I would most definitely return to the Pineapple House during my next trip to Bali! This was truly THE BEST way to bring in the new year!
needed a getaway for a few days and was keen for some surfing and yoga, but wasn't after the typical regimented retreat experience. The Pineapple House was absolutely perfect. Go there and do nothing. Go and surf every day. Do yoga if you feel like it. Or do it all! In a super quiet location close to the action in Canggu, the team will all make you feel in a world of bliss.
The pineapple house is a very special place. I stayed here 9 nights with my mum and had a wonderful very relaxed experience.
The staff where beautiful and very accommodating. The arrangement provides privacy and peacefulness and at the same time could be very social. I got to know everyone staying there and it felt like a real 'home'.
Plenty to do! surfing, yoga, day trips, or just relaxing reading a book around the pool.

So this was my first ever solo travel trip, and I came here directly after visiting a friend in Singapore (just a little different to it there...), and I had the most memorable trip of my life so far. Era, Rachel and Putu are the most beautiful people, so friendly and I instantly felt like I had known them for years. The resort itself is beautiful, set in the rice fields and a super short (and beautiful) walk away from the beach on which the surf lessons are done. Now I found that surfing may not be for me (pretty sure Era will be laughing at this), but the yoga which was located next door was ah-mazing. Canggu is a very fit boy surfer vibe so literally right up my street, and everything about my stay was ensured to be special and tailored to me. Literally had the best time, and cannot wait to go back. Big love from London to all at the Pineapple House!
