With The Kite Camps' step-by-step system and personal training, it will be easy to progress with your own rhythm while having fun instead of stress. You will learn how to use the power of the kite, how to stay safe at all time, and have your first riding experience. The key parts of the course are theory, basic flying skills with a trainer kite, kite set up, body-drag, water start, and many more.

Please note that the wind is something that is hardly predictable and even on the best spots, there are days without it. The Kite Camps has prepared many different no-wind activities from which you will be able to choose and are, of course, included in the camp price.

IKO methodology

IKO is the world’s leading kiteboarding organization specializing in kiteboard education, promoting safe practices and enhancing the highest standards for the industry. Whatever your kiteboarding level is, IKO methods are designed to make you learn and progress quickly and safely with an IKO certified instructor.

The Kite Camps will evaluate your level and train you until you master all the skills relative to the course. When you successfully complete a course, you will be certified and receive an IKO member card that certifiy the level you have reached.

Goal

The Kite Camps' main goal is to focus on your progress, covering all the theory about safety, weather, and everything else you need to become an independent kitesurfer, by offering private lessons or in groups of maximum two persons. The Kite Camps' experience so far has taught them that lessons with more than two students are not effective, due to the nature of the sport, and can even be dangerous both for the student and everyone around.

Rhodes Island is the largest in Dodecanese. The island amazes visitors with its stunning beaches, Medieval architecture, and many interesting monuments around the island. The Old Town of Rhodes is a true gem to walk around - a fantastic place from the past. The Street of the Knights and the Palace and Hippocrates Square are the main spots of the Old Town of Rhodes. Historically, Rhodes was famous worldwide for the Colossus of Rhodes, one of the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World. Today, it is one of the most popular tourist destinations in Europe.

The Kite Camps' spot is located on the beach of Paradissi, Rhodes Island. The village of Kremasti is only 10 minutes away from the airport and 20 minutes from Rhodes Town. The long stretched beach, the famous thermal Meltemi wind and the clear blue water offers the perfect conditions to kitesurfers of all levels to enjoy their sport and further upgrade their skills.
