Surf camp with The Green Rooms encourages you to live more sensitively and support community regeneration after the tsunami. You will also have a laid-back, friendly, unique, and an unforgettable surf experience. All levels from beginners, intermediates, and advanced surfers are welcome here and they will give you the best instruction to mold you to become a confident surfer!
The Green Rooms' beautiful cabanas are handcrafted by local carpenters, made from sustainable mango wood and each has something special about it. Sympathetically designed to make the most of the sea breezes, all has traditional carvings and huge shuttered front walls to allow constant air flow. The rooms in The Green Rooms are en-suite and 3 of the 5 rooms have open air bathrooms for showers under the stars. The rooms have a private balcony or seating area.
On this package, you can get the quickest and most valuable way to learn how to surf. After you book your accommodation and surf lessons, you will get 3 hours tuition on 6 days, surfboard hire, and post-surf analysis. You will have one most unforgettable surfing experiences ever!
If you are a complete beginner or have only just started surfing, then joining this camp is the best options for you. Both have small class sizes with 8 persons maximum.
If you are looking for the chance to make the next move and confidently surf across the face of the bigger swell and on a variety of waves, The Green Rooms can help. Choose from surf lessons, 1-on-1 out back surf tuition, and guided surf to surf in different breaks.
If you are already surfing like Slater, then you will want to explore all the surfing opportunities that are within easy reach of The Green Rooms. Take advantage of their local knowledge with a guided tour. Or, you can take a boat trip to get to the empty reef break or drop off at the peak.

The Green Rooms' palm-leafed restaurant gives plenty of shade and views of the surf, whilst you relax and enjoy our delicious, fresh food. They serve fresh local products with an emphasis on authentic Sri Lankan dishes, fresh fish barbecues, and western treats. They serve delicious breakfast of fresh fruits, bread, string hoppers, dahl and eggs with tea and juice. It will be served to your balcony or bedroom if you'd like. The residents only for a peaceful start to the day.
At lunchtime, they serve traditional Sri Lankan rice and curry with various curry dishes, salads, and sambals. Western dishes feature every day too, so there's something for everyone.
