Itinerary
Day 1: Managua - San Juan del Sur
Welcome at Managua International Airport. Your private transfer will drive you to the South Pacific coast, to the small fishing town of San Juan del Sur.

Surf lesson: You head to one of the beautiful beaches of the Pacific coast for a private surfing session with your tutor. He will guide you in your initiation and give you valuable advice for this very popular surfing sport on this coast of Nicaragua.

Day 4: San Juan del Sur - Popoyo
During the day, departure from San Juan del Sur towards the beach of Popoyo. It's 45 kilometers that's a 1 hour and 45-minute drive approximately.

Day 7: Popoyo - Granada
During the day, departure from Playa Popoyo towards the city of Granada. It's about 1 hour and 45 minutes drive - go through Rivas.
They suggest you to discover this colonial jewel by foot or in carriage. You can visit the Cathedral, the church of Merced, then the church Xalteva around which the city of Granada was originally built.
Then, they invite you to dive into the central market and its colored stalls. Before continuing your discovery, savor a "vigoron" on the central place in the shade of trees.
In the afternoon, you can continue up to the fortress of the Polvora where from there, you can enjoy a magnificent view over the calle real. Before going, they highly recommend you to sip a cocktail with Flor de Caña on the calle of Calzada.

Day 8: The Mombacho Volcano Natural Reserve - The Apoyo Lagoon - Masaya Volcano National Park - Granada
Self-guided hike El Crater on the Mombacho Volcano: They propose you to discover the humid nature of the Mombacho Volcano that overlooks Granada. It is composed of four volcanic craters whose highest peak reaches 1,345 meters.
Meet at the entrance of the Mombacho Volcano and you will reach the easy access hiking trails in a 4x4 truck, which will take you through the only rainforest on the Pacific Coast of Central America. Go for a walk in the heart of this atypical ecosystem!
Nearly 150 species of orchids, 50 types of mammals, and 120 species of butterflies have been identified here. You will also visit a museum showing the great telluric events of this volcano.
- 1 hour and 30 minutes of self-guided hike, medium difficulty. You will go up to 1,000 meters of altitude, the weather is cooler, be prepared
Laguna de Apoyo: You will have the opportunity to go and relax at the Laguna de Apoyo. Between kayaking, swimming, and relaxation, you will enjoy the calm of this ancient volcanic crater, now filled with fresh water. Note: Entrance included.
The Masaya Volcano by night: With its 54 square kilometers and its 20 kilometers of path in the wild, the National Park of the Masaya Volcan is a place where you will finally understand what is going on under your feet. Counting 5 craters, the Masaya Volcan is called "Popogatepe" by the indigenous nahualt, is an active volcano and the most accessible of the world.
The tour is about discovering the volcano at the sunset with the light of the end of the day, the lake of lava and the observation of the local fauna, parrots, and bat, among others. Note, there's a wait average in the entrance of 30 minutes.

Day 9: Granada - Managua
Free morning in Granada and depending on your flight schedule, three hours before departure, transfer to Managua International Airport for your international flight.
