On this surf camp, you will be staying at Telo Surfcamp.

Location

This surf camp will take place in Tanahbala Island, South Nias Regency, Indonesia. During the surf camp, you can surf every day in the three surf breaks that are located within a walking distance and some other surf breaks that are located farther.

Pasti

Located in front of the accommodation, it is a fast and powerful right-hander with three tube sections and ripabble days.

Lado-Lado 1 and Lado-Lado 2

Lado-Lado has right and left barrelling with A-frame as well as Hawaiian weight and style.

Other surf breaks

Nagadens

Nagadens is a barrelling right-hander. It is short, thick, and indicates when Pasti will pump.

  • Level: intermediate - experienced

Ibua

Ibua is a big, heavy, and suicidal right-hander.

  • Level: experienced - kamikaze

Kiri

Kiri is a sinister left-hander. It is fast, shallow, and hollow. It is located on the opposite tip of Plankton Bay.

  • Level: experienced - kamikaze

Baga

Baga is an island located in front of the surfing village. It is a ripaibble, long, and powerful left-hander with barrelling sections. It holds waves as big as the ocean throws.

  • Level: intermediate - experienced - big rider

Mibis

Mibis is a long barrelling left. On the right tide, it is one connecting barrel all the way down the line. It is a mix of desert point and G-Land.

  • Level: beginners - intermediate - experienced

Bilakan

Bilakan is a long and shreddable right-hander that works on any swell. It is located behind Baga island.

  • Level: intermediate - experienced

Bahaia

Bahaia is a hair-raising left. It is fast and hollow, the area’s Teahupoo.

  • Level: experienced - kamikaze

Rahasia

Rahasia is a fantastically fun left with amazing back door barrels.

  • Level: beginners - intermediate - experienced

Cewek’s

Cewek's is a peak wave opening long which has easy walls to both sides inside a protected bay. It is an ideal spot to learn surfing.

  • Level: intermediate - long board

Rokok’s

Rokok's is a right and left breaking in the middle of the neighboring bay, in front of a small rock island.

  • Level: intermediate - experienced - big rider

Tangguh

Tanguh is a big and powerful right-hander, the first of three rights on the coast of Tantras.

  • Level: experienced - big wave rider

Tantang

Tantang is a fast, shallow, and hollow right-hander. It is less consistent, but the most challenging one.

  • Level: experienced - tube rider

Tantra

Tantra is a right-hander with the first section of barrelling, then open up to a ripabble wall with another barrelling section toward the end.

  • Level: beginners - intermediate - experienced - longboard

Jauh

Jauh is a long and ripabble left-hander, with good barrel sections set in a paradise bay. It is fast and hollow.

  • Level: beginners - intermediate - experienced

Facas

Facas is a very shallow, fast, and hollow left with amazing barrels. It is only for experienced surfers.

  • Level: experienced - tube rider

Shhhhhh

It is a very heavy right-hander that only works on big swells.

  • Level: experienced

Food

Three daily meals as well as water, tea, and coffee will be served for you during the surf camp.

How to get there

Arrival by airplane

Please book your flight to arrive at Minangkabau International Airport (PDG). Transfer from and to the airport is included. Telo Surfcamp will pick you up from the airport.

From Ngurah Rai International Airport (DPS), you need to take transit flights to Soekarno–Hatta International Airport (CGK) before flying to Minangkabau International Airport (PDG). For international flights, AirAsia offers flights from Kuala Lumpur International Airport (KUL) to Minangkabau International Airport (PDG).

Cancellation Policy

  • A reservation requires a deposit of 50% of the total price.
  • The deposit is non-refundable, if the booking is cancelled.
  • The rest of the payment should be paid on arrival.
