Kitesurfing is an extreme sport. Depending on the level of the students, a three-day course gives you the basics to practice without creating any danger on the beach. Together with the experienced kitesurfing instructors, a minimum of five to six days is necessary to a student to become independent without creating any risk for the others and for himself.
On a three-day course, you will touch the spirit of this magic sport.
Learn how to mount and fly an inflatable kite safely on land, know how the security system work, launch and land your kite with an assistant, theory on wind window and power zones, and spots risks and winds.
Learn the basics movements while dragged by your kite on the water without the board. Body drag downwind, power body drag, one hand body drag upwind, and a body drag while grabbing the board.
Learn the steady pull basics and attempt your first water start which is the hardest part of the kitesurf lessons. Once you are able to stand up and do a short ride, you will learn the basics on ride positions and ride mostly downwind.
From the fourth day, normally you start to intend how to control the power of the kite ride, stop safely, and self-rescue. You will also learn to fix the position of the body for start edging and the upwind ride.
This yoga center is open 365 days a year. During spring, you can enjoy the yoga lessons outdoor. The roof terrace of the surf club has space for more than 20 people. You can organize evening and morning yoga classes on the beach or in the mountain surrounded by nature. Your aim is to join yoga, sports, and daily life. The yoga classes can be organized depending on the season, the first start at 7:30 in the morning and the last at 8:00 in the evening. Other classes also are running during the day.
The surf house is situated just three kilometers west of Tarifa’s town and 300 meters or a five-minute walk from the kite and surf beach of “Los Lances Norte”, one of the most beautiful beaches of Spain and Andalusia. Tarifa is a small town in the province of Cadiz, Andalusia, on the southernmost coast of Spain. The town is located in the “Costa de la Luz” and across the Straits of Gibraltar facing the Moroccan coast, well known as the Europe Capital of Wind.
The city of Tarifa flows through the waters of the Mediterranean Sea and the Atlantic Ocean. Morocco is visible with naked eyes because it is just 14 kilometers of the sea which divides the two continents.
Once you get to Tarifa, you are involved in the magic view of a hybrid environment. The eight-kilometer beach of “Los Lances” looks like it is never-ending; the green hills and the mountains on the north of the city are the gates of the natural park of “Los Arcornocales”.
At the end of the “Los Lances” beach, the wind was blowing for years and years, forming an incredible sand dune as well known as the “Duna de Valdevaqueros”. Valdevaqueros is the farthest beach of Tarifa’s landscape.
Hopefully, the environment all around Tarifa is preserved intact. The beaches look really wild, there are no big building constructed along the coast, instead, there are few smalls chiringuitos where people can have special mojitos, smoothies, sangria or just a fresh beer.
The city of Tarifa is not so huge. The old town area is surrounded by medieval walls and can be visited just in a few hours. Walking through the suggestive and tiny streets of the historical center will bring you back in medieval times. The castle of “Guzman el Bueno” is open to all the visitors, close to the main square “La plaza del Alameda” where you can find a typical market who the locals sell delicious fresh fish and bio vegetables.
The price does not include breakfast because it is on hold until the next Easter, but guests are allowed to use the common kitchen to prepare their own food.
On your free time, you can do your own excursion, explore the town of Tarifa or just sit back and relax. For the lovers of snorkeling and scuba diving, Playa chica and El Balneario, with their crystalline and clear water, are perfect for this types of sport.
You can also go for a mountain biking and hike on the green mountain located in the north of the city. Also called the windmills area. An innumerable set of paths passes across creeks, windmills, forest, and the desolated lands of the Alcornocales Natural Park. You can also climb at the natural park. The Betis Mountain, just 14-kilometer away from Tarifa, is perfect if you want to show your climbing skills or just have fun!
