Homestay
Homestays are a great way to really immerse yourself in not only the Spanish language but also the local culture. The homestay families are all warm and inviting, and they are eager to welcome you into their homes and share their lives with you during your stay. All homestay families houses are within a 10-15 minute walk from the school, so it’s not only a good educational option, it’s convenient as well.
The homestays provide you with your own room so that you can have privacy during your stay. You’ll have delicious home-cooked meals prepared for you every day (your choice of 1, 2, or 3 meals a day). Based on previous students' feedback, the meals themselves make it worth the stay! Your laundry will also be done for you at least once a week.
Student’s apartment
The school has a fully furnished apartment available to our students who wish to live more independently than in a homestay. The apartment is fully furnished and has a kitchen stocked with all the equipment you may need. More than one student may be living there at a time, so it can be a fun social environment as well to mix with your fellow students.
It is located in the same building as the school, so it is incredibly convenient. It is very close to the beachfront, with plenty of good local restaurants, a large shopping mall, and a very nice supermarket. It’s in a neighborhood where locals live, so there are many opportunities to practice your Spanish if you are the type of person who likes to strike up conversations with people you meet.
The apartments are cleaned daily, but laundry service and meals are not included. There is free cable TV and Wi-Fi internet. There are local lavaderias close by that will wash your clothes for you and have them back the next day.

Kite-surfing classes
Kite-surfing is one of those thrilling sports that will take you for a ride, both physically and emotionally. Luckily, Manta is a fantastic place to try out this amazing sport for the first time, brush up on your skills, or perfect your ride. The conditions for windsurfing are the best between the months of May and December, so if you are here during that time of year, don’t miss out on the opportunity to take some lessons.
The instructor gives everyone lots of individual attention and takes you through step by step to make sure everyone is on the same page, using the equipment safely, and having an awesome time! You’ll get all the basics, and then once you’re out there, the course will help you look like a pro.

Spanish lessons
Spanish group classes give you the opportunity to learn Spanish in a more social environment so you can share your challenges and accomplishments with your fellow classmates. The group classes are kept small, with a maximum of five students per class. This ensures that you will receive plenty of the individual attention you need, while still enjoying the benefits of learning with other students.
This is a great option if you are traveling with a group of friends that wish to study together. Even if you are traveling alone the school can place you with other students who are at the same Spanish level as you so that you can all enjoy the benefits of learning with a group dynamic and meet new and interesting people.
Location
Manta is a picturesque city, located on the Pacific Ocean, in a dry tropical forest with an average annual temperature of 25 degrees Celsius (77 degrees Fahrenheit). Manta has some of the most stunning beaches in South America and it has become the best and most affordable destination for surfing, kite surfing, and diving. The beaches are suitable for practicing these great water sports for all kinds of levels. At the beach of Tarqui, you can also do a variety of sports like volleyball, soccer, and more.
Furthermore, Manta is an important center for the tuna and fishing industry. Therefore you will find the most incredible seafood restaurants as well as an active nightlife with some great bars and clubs as well as a few casinos. Manta is still not discovered by non-Ecuadorian tourism, it is the ideal place to get to know the real Ecuadorians and to get fully immersed in the Ecuadorian culture. In the surroundings of Manta, there are many interesting places you can visit, like Montecristi, the official town of the ‘Panama hats’, Machalililla National Park with fascinating flora and fauna, and The San Plácido Waterfalls and La Locita Waterfalls, which are both only two hours away from Manta and there you can enjoy an incredible flora inside a forest.

Additional kiteboarding courses
During the program, kiteboarding level II and III are also possible to arrange for an extra cost. The additional eight hours' intermediate courses cost 400 USD and the additional four hours' advanced course cost 220 USD.
Galápagos tours
The Galápagos Islands is a unique and magical place, so take the opportunity and choose this special offer for you. Surpacifico Spanish School can book your trip on the Superior Tourist Class Yacht. The Yacht was built in 1995 in Puerto Ayora, Santa Cruz, Galápagos. It is 60 feet long, 18 feet wide, and has a capacity of 16 people. A crew of six people is responsible for your safety and satisfaction. With the best knowledge of the spectacular islands and a lot of experience on the sea, an English-speaking naturalist guide will accompany you.
You can choose a few different kinds of accommodations and facilities. The yacht has two double cabins on the upper deck with a large berth, private bathroom, hot water, and air conditioning. On the main deck, there are another two cabins with the same construction and facilities. Furthermore, the yacht has four more double cabins on the lower deck. Whatever your preference is, Surpacifico Spanish School will get the right accommodation for you.
Isla de la Plata tours
Surpacifico Spanish School occasionally organizes tours to the famous Isla de la Plata with its similar flora and fauna to the Galápagos Islands. In the morning, you leave with the school’s car and drive all the way south to Puerto Lopez. From there, an English-speaking naturalist guide accompanies you on the boat to the unique island. On the way there, it is possible to see whales and dolphins, especially from June until September. The captain stops the boat so you have the possibility to observe the stunning animals. Upon Arrival on the island, you have two options: either to go on the easy walk (1 hour) to have a stunning cliff view or go on a more challenging walk (2 hours) to observe more of the numerous bird types the island is famous for.

Additionally, Mariscal Sucre International Airport (UIO) in Quito is 1.5 hours away from the city and a taxi from the airport to the city will cost 35 USD, but there are also public buses and airport buses for less money. If you want to transport by plane (30 minutes, 80 USD), Surpacifico Spanish School can book a flight ticket for you from Quito to Manta. If you wish, Surpacifico Spanish School can also
advance the price of the ticket and you can repay them on the first day of school in Manta. Surpacifico Spanish School can pick you up at the airport in Manta. Arrival by bus
If you are arriving at Ecuador through Guayaquil, you can also travel on your own from Guayaquil to Manta by bus. There are several bus companies such as Reina del Camino, Coactur, and Carlos Alberto Aray. Surpacifico Spanish School can provide a free pick-up service at the bus station in Manta. You need to call before leaving from Guayaquil to Manta (there are many public telephones at the bus station in Guayaquil) in order to arrange the pick-up service.
