Surf school Agadir Morocco. At the Surfline Morocco surf camp, they strive to teach surfers of all levels. Surfline Morocco provide surf coaching for those that want to learn how to step onto the water, surfers that want to improve in order to start having more speed when racing with the green waves, or advanced surfers that want to be able to surf more vertically. All the lessons are provided on one of the best playgrounds in the world for all levels, the Moroccan waves. The lessons are divided in groups of different levels : beginners - intermediates - advanced.

Beginners lesson

Surfline Morocco surf coaching program for beginners consists of :

  • Beach awareness
  • Beach safety
  • Paddling technique
  • Standing up technique (Take off)
  • Equipment

The beginners surf lessons are always on sandy beaches, and at a maximum of 1,2 meters deep for safe practice of the surfing for improvers. Head out to the beach at 09:30 until 16:00 with a 2 hour surf lesson then you have the rest of the day to enjoy the sun or keep practicing surf.

Intermediate lesson

  • Surfline Morocco surf coaching program for intermediate surfers includes:
  • Surf safety
  • Surf etiquette
  • Positioning
  • Paddling
  • Take off
  • Body movement and positioning

Surfline Morocco intermediate surf lessons take place in beach breaks and mellow point breaks with sandy bottom. They recommend long waves for maximum progression since the Moroccan waves can offer you that.

Morocco Surf Spot

  • Morocco surf spots(Agadir bay) has long beach break and there are different spots that share the same breaks left and rights; this spot just needs a swell of 1.5 to 2 meters any more than this will cause the waves to close out
  • (Anza) here is an awesome wave for the left and right hander, they work in low tide and high tide but just in a swell between 1.5 to 1.7 meters the off shore wind from the south is bad for this spot.
  • (km11 & km12) two spots have the same break and are lefts. They work in low tide and high tide but its very good when the tide starts to go out and the waves become extremely hollow and fast.
  • (Banana point) is a point break and the wave is a right hander this spot works in low tide and when the tide goes out it is a very long wave and the wave starts to break at this spot from a swell of 1.9 to 2.5 meters when the wave reaches more than 2,5 meters the wave just closes out.
  • (Anchor point) is the famous point break in morocco and its called anchor point because in the past the land was occupied by an anchor factory where they made many anchors for the nearby ships and boats and the spot still carries the name to this day. It is a right hander wave extremely fast and hollow it works very well in low tide and when the tide goes out it creates a very long wave and in this wave you can expect to see it reach 4.5 meters before breaking.
  • (Killers point) gets its name because sometimes if you are lucky you can find Killer whales playing there and jumping in the ocean they eat what they can find around the rocks! This spot works when there is a swell of 2 meters. Here you will find hard sets coming from the right it is a long one and if you paddle out to the left side for around 1000 meters you are going to find a hollow left that is just so fast and shallow everyone and especially the pros from around the world including Kelly Slater have been to enjoy this wave and Surfline Morocco guarantee you will have an adrenaline filled experience.
  • (Desert point) here is a point break right hander that needs a swell of 2 meter and no wind except on shore wind then you get a long right hander that is a mellow but heavy wave.
  • (Dracula) its called Dracula because the shape of the rocks are like vampire teeth. This wave is a fast right hander that pushes some punchy and often large sets.
  • (Boilers ) If its waves that you want you certainly get them here. Wind that funnels from the mountains offers large vertical lips and speed walls, and this powerful right hander.
  • (Boilers) If washes onto a strong shallow reef. If not with our surf instructors, this is a lot easier if you have a buddy ready to tell you when to rock off behind the ship wreck, looking on from the shore. Get ready to scamper across the reef on your way out before the next set hits. Often visited by pro photographers for the intensity of pictures available, awesome spot!
  • (Tamri) This ultra consistent beach break is the place to go when Taghazout is flat. Quick back sections pay privilege to an even more constant beach push, strong currents at times but a fun ride all the same. For beginners just be aware how far you have drifted down the coast. The lush estuary is home to camels and flamingos, a truly wonderful spot.

"it was my first time surfing and i had a great time in morocco: at the beach, in the water, on the board and of course with the surf instructors and other guests. the surf instructors are friendly, very professional, structured and well trained - they really know how to surf, how to teach it or give good advice for improvement to any level of surfer (absolute beginner or even pro surfer). we always went to good spots so everybody could catch waves and improve/ learn more. i had my classes in english and the instructors are easy to understand and they understand the language well: i could ask all things about surf, the country, the moroccan culture, food, shopping, places to go and i always got my answers. after the surf lessons, there is time to find out more about the country and culture."

"for me it was a great experience and i will definitely come back to learn more!"

"What an amazing trip! Morocco was never on my bucket list and I didn't know much about the country before going.. I first visited morocco a few years ago and went threw a different company which I met mohammad, although it was a great trip and he was great at his job at the surf camp I didn't fully get to experience the surf, the culture, the landscape or Mohammad's company. Since my first trip I have been back now a few times and have seen Mohammad and his new surf camp every time, he runs things a lot differently to the others along the coast and from experience I say that nothing beats surfline morocco. Your trip is catered to you and what you want to do! Never will you sit around not happy with anything because He will do anything in his power to make sure you have the most amazing time, what ever you feel like doing even if you're all surfed out and want a break for some exploring he will Make it happen. If a wave is to big, small, powerful, fast, slow and you want to surf somewhere else you have that option to surf what ever you want, which the other camps don't have! Great accommodation with such friendly staff.. all good friends now after staying with them, great food no matter where you are taken he will always look after your wants and needs. It's an amazing place and Mohammad makes it so special. I'll finish by saying I'm from the coast of Australia and the waves here are just epic, can't wait to get back"

"I have been surfing a few times and have had different surf teachers. I just like going surfing even though I am not very good at it. Mohammed was really the best from all of my teachers. He showed me really individual tips for improving. Even though I was only at his surf camp for one week, I was able to really improve my surfing. And it was so much fun. He tried to pick the best spot every day, looking at the conditions at each spot. The lunch was brilliant. He really is a nice guy too, telling you also a lot about Morocco and their lifestyle if you like. He really cares about his guests!"

"I went surfing for the first time and won two new best buddies - Mohammed and the surfboard. Mohammed has been recommended to us by a friend and we were lucky to have him for just us two surf students. The surf lessons were exceptionally good and a lot of fun. Mohammed drove us to different surf spots and also to places we wanted to go to in our free time, and all the way from Agadir to Marrakech airport on our last day. We will come back!"

"Everything was the best: the surf lessons, perfects spots, like Devil's rock or Crocodile Beach and few more; that was surfing with professional care! Thanks to Mohamed, who was responsible for everything, the person who combines kindness, patience, and great knowledge about surfing, he goes above and beyond his surf students. Come and choose Surfline Morocco, you would love it as much as I do! There is only one disadvantage, I have to come back to Russia..."

"After a lot of researching and review-reading I chose Surfline and it was the best decision of my trip. I was travelling solo in Morocco and took intermediate lessons with Mohammed which were just fantastic. I wanted to find the best instructor to improve my surfing and spend as much time in the water as possible and this was it. I was unlucky to have been in Morocco during the flattest month (August) but Momo managed to find me waves every day, and away from all the other surf schools. The places we surfed was just us in the water so perfect for learning new techniques on empty waves. I not only improved my surfing technique in my time with him but also how to read waves better and just all over surfing knowledge. I learnt and improved more in my short time with Surfline than in the past 4 years of surfing! Mohammed is an incredible surfer and a great teacher who is very professional. He answered all my questions about surfing from rips to board choice. (I also have never seen anyone pickup that much speed and get airs on small waves!) So if you want to get better at surfing and learn from the best or just get shown all the best spots, then don't look anywhere else. I will be back in winter for sure when the swell returns!"

"Momo is a great guide and surfer. Altough I already knew a few things about surfing, he learned me much much more. Next to surfing I enjoyed the delicious food in the hostel (with good company from the other guests), some nice walks around the village and some funny movies Momo brought with him to watch. Altough I came to Morocco in summer with not so much going on (high season for surfers is in winter in morocco, as i would later find out) I still had a fantastic time, something Momo always made sure of. I can reccomend Momo to anyone, as a guide for surfing, and also as a friend :)"

"I'm not even sure where to start. First, I should say Morocco is a great country to visit and if you are a surfer, the Tamraght area is the place to be. For me, booking my time there with Mohammed at Surfline Morocco was a great stroke of luck. The value of what I received is priceless. I was picked up by Mo at the bus station in Agadir as planned, and taken to a very comfortable and friendly riad-style hotel. After quickly dropping off my bags, we went directly to surf. Mo knows the area well and is highly-skilled in figuring out which spot will best suit your style of surfing. In my case, I was able to surf with Mo and learn from him as he is a very good surfer himself. Throughout my stay, I was looked after, taken to the best surf spots, and made to feel very comfortable the whole time. After two weeks of staying with Surfline Morocco, I can easily say that Mohammed made my best surf trip to date!"

"Wow! I just came back from a really fantastic surf holiday with Surfline Morocco! I decided to go to Morocco for the first time on my own with no surf experience, so I had no idea what to expect. As soon as I arrived I was welcomed by the driver with a big smile who took me to the beautiful Riad (traditional Moroccan hotel) where I stayed for a week. At the Riad they made me enjoy a big breakfast while I waited for Mohamad (owner of Surfline Morocco) to come. That same day I had my very first surf lesson which I will never forget! Mohamad is a professional surfer and surf teacher who explains all the important steps in detail. With his big passion for surfing and a great deal of patience he will show you what surfing is all about. I could already stand on my board on the first day! Every day he would take me and other international surfers to beautiful and different spots. He would always look for the best waves for everyone. It doesn't matter if you are a beginner or a professional, he knows where to take you because Mohamad will do everything to make sure his guests are happy. If you want to surf all day, then he will stay and teach you all day. He doesn't have a time limit, because all he wants is for you to enjoy surfing!"

"Besides the surfing I saw and enjoyed a great deal of Morocco: traditional places and buildings, markets, hammam, secret spots with no tourists, sand boarding and a lot of delicious Moroccon food. If you show an interest in surfing and in the Moroccan culture, then Mohamad will show you all he can with passion. "

"I stayed at Surfline Morocco for 2 weeks in June. And the experience was above my expectations. Muhammed, the owner and in my case also my instructor, is very passionate about surfing and teaching. He has been surfing his whole life and knows what surfing is about. Where other surf schools group together on a beach and everyone is fighting for a wave, Muhammed would take me to a beach where only we were in the wather. The lessons were great (a lot of attention and tips) and also in the evening I would get some explanations about surfing which would help me improve my surf. "

"The accomodation was simple and clean. "

"Noteworthy are the lunches made by Muhammed. Everyday a treat and not the 2 slices of white bread with a cucumberslice, a tomatoslice and some cheese."

"We stayed with Surfline recently on my travels through Morocco. I found our stay at their accommodation excellent and it was just what was needed after the hard bit of travelling we had accomplished. I was only going to stay a day or so but in the end, my friend and I stayed for a week. We loved the area and, most importantly, the brilliant surf instruction and guiding we got when staying with these guys. "This surf camp gives you the real surf adventure. They make you feel welcome from your arrival to your departure. They pick you up at the airport or the bus station in Agadir even if it is in the middle of the night. Redouane and Mohamad care a lot about their guests and were helpful at any time. Even when there was some confusion about getting from Marrakesh to Agadir by bus, they offered guidance via text messaging. Redouane is a great surf instructor and gives you a lot of good advice on how to improve your surfing. It doesn't matter if you are an absolute beginner or advanced surfer. They also showed us around. We visited Paradise Valley, special lookout spots, and the Moroccan market in Agadir. I recommend this surf school to everybody who wants to learn to surf, improve their surfing, or advanced surfers who need a beach drop off. I certainly feel like I have made some new friends here."

"Professional, friendly, open-minded local guys, was a great experience learn from them. Not just good surfers but very good instructors as well. Always paying attention to us, to the conditions, to our needs and expectations realted not jst surfing but anything else. They were perfect teachers both for beginners and for intermediate surfers in our group. Really nice persons not just in the water but also outside. We could improve our surfing technique and knowledge a lot and had the opportunity to try different conditions, boards and spots. Thanks to them we to found the best waves, discovered different spots, found secret places and enjoyed not just the turistic and surfer part of Morocco but the real local atmosphere. We liked very much the cool surf house built in traditional stye. Nice lounge to relax and eat together, supernice staff especially with our 2 chefs preparing delicious local meals, beautiful view to the ocean (to check the spots!), terraces to do yoga and stretching after surfing. We will definitely return! :) Shukran guys!!!"

"I had the greatest experience with these guys."

"Sometimes, travelling alone can be tricky, always depending on the people you meet. But during this week, there was not one moment when I felt alone or left out. The crew as well as the other guests made this an absolutely great holiday."

"Wanting to escape the cold, it was my first time in Morocco. Being fairly new to surfing, I was excited to see how my level of experience would be incorporated on the beach and in the water. And it was handled fantastically. The guys split up the whole group into different smaller groups, always making sure you get the most out of the lessons. Hands on, in the water; at all times they focused on all of us to make sure we achieved the step we needed for our specific level. The instructor/student ration was really well managed always making sure there were not too many people in one group."

"Surf spots were also chosen very carefully, taking surf conditions as well as the skill of the group into account."

    ""

"We also took 2 trips (for those who wanted to) to go to the market in Agadir (an experience I would advise everyone to have at some point) as well as to Paradise Valley. This little valley with its natural sweet water pools really deserves its name (Photo attached)."

"Throughout the whole week, the staff was not only extremely helpful and friendly, but all in all just fun to be around and spend my time with. Their local knowledge really sets them apart from other camps as most of them know the area, and especially the beaches and the spots inside out!"
