      wunderschönes Surfcamp

      Ich kann dieses Surfcamp von Herzen weiterempfehlen, es war das familiärste Surfcamp, an dem ich bis jetzt teilgenommen habe. Kathi sowie auch alle Surflehrer*innen waren stets bemüht alle Erwartungen zu erfüllen und haben sich best möglich um alle Teilnehmer*innen gekümmert. Obwohl ich in dem Urlaub krank geworden bin, war es eine der schönsten Urlaubswochen dank einer besonders familiären Atmosphäre, einer wunderschönen Location mit tollem Garten, die gleichzeitig auch eine Art Ruheoase für mich war. Die Surflehrer waren auch sehr bemüht individuell auf die Bedürfnisse der Teilnehmer*innen einzugehen und ich habe in kurzer Zeit viele Fortschritte erzielt :)! Danke für den schönen Aufenthalt!

      Wonderful experience with kindhearted hosts!

      My goal going into this surfcamp was to improve my surfing skills, and relax, this was accomplished with great success thanks to the Kathi and Alex as wonderful hosts, and the great cohort of surfers in the house!

      The hosts at Surfhouse as Furnas goes above and beyond to make sure every single surfer in the house is enjoying themselves. The house is very clean and the dinners are prepared fresh every night which was wonderful to enjoy after a day of surfing!

      As for the beaches, if you're coming from Northern Portugal, it'll be a relief from the rocks! The water is very clear with no notable sea creatures in the water, and waves for different levels (depending on the beach)

      Every night the hosts identifies the best beaches for the surfers to go based on the level of the group. Should someone want to surf alone, they also can, and receive the material as well as throughout recommendations on where to go from Kathi and Alex.

      If you're vegan or vegetarian, and don't have a car, I do recommend you prepare your lunches when packing to come on holiday. There is a seitan with a lovely view at Chiringuito as Furnas though you'll want more than seitan after your surf session. :)

      Amazing hosts, stunning guesthouse and beautiful location

      Kathi (guesthouse owner/ manager) and Alex (guesthouse owner/ surf instructor) are two of the best hosts I’ve come across on my travels. They are both so friendly, kind and go out of their way to make you feel so welcome. Kathi has the best sense of humour too, bonus points 😊 The guesthouse and gardens are beautiful, very clean, as well as comfortable and homely. The location is truly stunning, surrounded by gorgeous beaches perfect for surfing. Alex is a fantastic, patient and informative instructor. Which was much appreciated as I was new to surfing. Thank you for everything to you both, I had an amazing time! 🥰

      I would also like to thank Fabia (guesthouse assistant) Omelio (surf instructor) and the yoga teacher (whose name I can’t remember sorry) for being so lovely also. You all added to the experience in so many ways. I highly recommend the yoga classes that are available a few evenings a week. So nice after a few hours of surfing. Thank you to everyone that made my stay so enjoyable! ♥️

      Muy buena experiencia!!!

      Kathi es un amor, está pendiente de que todo el mundo esté a gusto y lo mejor posible. Lo tiene muy bien montado para que la gente del retiro interactúe en las cenas :) (con posibilidad de ir de manera más individual si así lo quieres). Las clases de surf están muy bien ya que se dedican a mirar los lugares con mejor condiciones para poder surfear (y Alex, Favia y Emilio son super majos!!) Además en nuestro cada un día hicieron fotos para luego analizarlas y mejorar. Un día que no pudimos hacer surf por el tiempo hicimos surfskating con Alex y también nos encantó. Las clases de yoga están también genial, muy relajantes y centradas en estiramientos que beneficien al surf. Una muy buena experiencia, la casa super cómoda y agradable (la limpian cada día). Si podemos, repetiremos, un beso de Ana y Adrian!!

      Hidden gem

      Kathi made us feel immediately at home in her surfhouse. She has great personal attention to detail and went the extra mile to make our week extra great (beginner lessons and an additional evening session with pictures). The family atmosphere among strangers at the house was also fun and mellow.

      Then there is the location. I can't imagine a better surf spot in Europe. Nice size Atlantic waves and no crowds. Absolutely perfect.

      Great surf and yoga, I want to come back!

      I really enjoyed the yoga and surf lessons. Since this is a surf camp it was more surf than yoga-which I really enjoyed. The surf instructors were so patient with a beginner like me, also good at explaining. The manager, Kathi, was the best! Super friendly and always willing to help (when I needed a new charger, information on buses, sightseeing in the area…). She is also an excellent cook, making us delicious dinners. I loved the company of the others, so many nice people. I appreciated it for being for adults, so I wasn’t the oldest one. The massages were very helpful, relaxing for sore muscles.

      Lovely mix of sport, nature, nice people and disconnection

      I had a lovely week in this Surfhouse. A perfect mix of a relaxing environment in this very nice house and garden and some sport and nature. You can really choose on your own if you want to be active and hang out with people or if you one day prefer to just relax. The organiser is very flexible and kind and all the other people that she is working with are also so nice, like the surf instructors and the woman that are cleaning and there for helping out at the breakfast and dinner. The neighbourhood is very calm and beautiful and when you go for surfing or to see the sunset you can really enjoy it with out lots of other tourists around you. I would really recommend this place for everyone who wants some kind of surf trip but with a bit more quality and disconnection.

      Amazing surfcamp at a relaxed location

      As a beginner surfer I came to the surfhouse as furnas and stayed for one week. I loved the apartments, which are extremely clean and designed in a way to hang out with the other guest in a family like atmosphere while still allowing you to have time for yourself. Kathi is an amazing host and would do anything to make her guests happy. She thereby caters to individual preferences of guests and makes sure that they have everything to enjoy the surfing, the yoga and the whole stay at the surfhouse. I have the feeling she would even try to change the weather if that is necessary :)

      Superb

      Everything top notch.

      Place: spotless rooms and facility, friendly staff.

      Food: varied breakfast buffet and excellent dinners cooked by Kathi.

      Surf: all 3 instructors great and high teacher-student ratio.

      Overall a perfect Galician surf trip!

      Schöner Aufenthalt wie bei Freunden

      Im Surfhouse As Furnas fühlt man sich gleich wie zu Besuch bei guten Freunden. Die Betreiberin Kathi ist sehr um das Wohl der Gäste bemüht und geht auf die unterschiedlichen Bedürfnisse ein. Auch wenn ich sicher kein Surf-Pro mehr werde, fand ich den Kurs äußerst professionell und die Yoga Stunden von Sina waren super.

      Wer gerne bei netter Betreuung und ohne Menschenmassen an der malerischen, spanischen Atlantikküste Surfen lernen möchte, der ist hier genau richtig.
