Beginner surf lessons
A beginner private surf lesson is given by a private instructor for you or your group of friends, family, or co-workers. It can be a one-on-one lesson with an instructor or up to as many people as you desire. Surfers Paradise Weligama assigns one instructor for every three surfers.
Intermediate surf lessons
Intermediate surf lessons are offered for surfers who look to improve their surfing ability or take it to the next level. Your instructors are in the water with you, observing your move, analyzing each wave you catch, and providing detailed feedback to maximize your success using the right technique. It is possible to have one-on-one lessons with an instructor or in couples.
How long is a surf lesson?
The surf lessons are 75 minutes long. Approximately 15 to 20 minutes is spent on land covering safety and technique. The remaining time is spent in the water. Using a soft board, your instructors will be testing your skills and maximize your success riding waves. They will keep you aware of the right technique and push you to achieve the most during every session. If you can’t get enough and you want to practice after the lesson, you can work it out.
Surfers Paradise team
The team is made up of locals as their knowledge of the area, ocean, currents, and tides is very well. They will keep you paddling, standing on your board, and catching and riding waves in no time - all with a big smile on your face. The team follows an instructing system that has proved itself successful over the years. At the same time, they pay attention to the ability of every single student and make sure you take the next level when you’re ready. In other cases, they are improving your technique until you make it. Part of the technique learned is reading the waves and the ocean.
