Surfers Camp is based in the sunny village of Esmoriz in Porto Portugal, and run by local surf coach Rui Guimares and his team Surf Camp Porto. We are determined to create the best holiday surf environment for all guests independent of their age or surf level. We aim to share not just the technical knowledge and fun of surfing, but also to share the broader surfing lifestyle with our guests. Like searching for waves, visiting new spots, fires on the beach, the little backyard bakeries, flat-day adventures and experiencing local culture.
The guest house is located near the beach where there are some nice easy waves. There is a big forest area nearby that extends along the shoreline where youll be able to find good waves, clean water and fantastic running and cycling paths.
The surf spots surrounding the surf camp give all the conditions needed for you to learn or develop your surf techniques. The surf lessons last 2 hours and have a maximum of 10 students per lesson. All surf instructors are experienced and traveled surfers, and have all the credentials and knowledge needed to teach/guide according to each students needs, and that they have safety as a priority, inside and outside of the water. Every day the surf instructors search for the best waves according to the level of the students, choosing one of the 20 surf spots located around the camp. The guest can have two surf lessons, if the surf conditions are bad then the students can improve their surf techniques as well as surf knowledge with some physical and theoretical training using the photos and videos to find the mistakes that need to be corrected.
