Whether you are a surfer who is interested in yoga or a yogi wishing to master the surf; or maybe you already love both the surf and your yoga mat, this retreat is the perfect way to delve into both and discover how they support one another so well. Swap the ups and downs of life for the challenges of learning to surf the Atlantic waves!
Located a walk away from the beach (three minutes walking) in the small town of Taghazout, this brand new guest house has on the ground floor a common room with satellite TV, Wi-Fi connection, dining room, chill out zone, bathroom and kitchen, and on the first, second, and third floors there are nine comfortable rooms, all with private bathroom and Wi-Fi.
At the roof-top, there’s a wonderful terrace with spectacular views on all the surf spots, and a fully-equipped yoga shala where you can have the opportunity to try the yoga classes to complement the daily surf sessions by stretching worked out arms, lower backs, and shoulders. It's a perfect place to relax and discover the region, mainly for the surfers and for those who like adventures of every kind (4x4 jeep, trek, horses, camels, mules, VTT, quads).
The guest house offers you a wide variety of accommodations. All rooms are spacious en-suites and they can be made up as a double with your own lounging area; twins or triples for friends sharing; or of course, they are also perfect for families. Single room supplements are available. All linen and shower towels are provided. There are also air dryers and Wi-Fi available in all the rooms.
You will also spend half a day visiting the Souk (Moroccan market in Agadir), and you will also be offered a 1-hour massage or 1-hour hammam with scrub.
The village of Taghazout is very close to Agadir and is also known as the surfers village. Situated between the first Atlas mountains and the Atlantic Ocean, you can find a very different kind of local products such as argan oil, honey, and all sort of spices every Wednesday in the souk. It is also one of the best places to taste the traditional plates like tagines, couscous, etc.
Because it is sheltered by Cap Ghir and surrounding hills, sunshine is virtually guaranteed in the Agadir region, with over 300 sunshine days per year. The winter air temperature seldom drops below 22°C during the day and the water temperature averages 18°C.
Surf Yoga Morocco knows how important it is to be nourished from the inside. Surf Yoga Morocco locally sources as much as possible all the produce for their cuisine. All your meals will be hearty, healthy, and freshly prepared from the spiced coffee to the traditional tagine.
All fresh fruit, teas, and bottled water are included and available to you throughout the day. Surf Yoga Morocco knows that surfing makes you hungry and they provide plentiful tasty and healthy meals to meet your appetite. Vegetarian or vegan options are also available along with any other special dietary requests.
