This affordable beginner surf camp is designed specially by Surf Yoga Morocco to meet the needs for those who are beginners or improvers in the surfing sport. This will be a remarkable start for those who need some dependable and reliable instruction to help improve their skills. You will have two surfing lessons of two hours each every day, taught as a progressive course. Swim, chase, ride the waves, and overcome the challenge!

The accommodation at the villa consists of three deluxe doubles with ensuite, two double rooms with ensuite, two double rooms, four triple rooms, and two twin rooms. Surf Yoga Morocco is very family friendly and all the deluxe doubles can comfortably convert to family rooms with two single beds and one double bed. The rooms without ensuite only share a bathroom with one other room. All linen and shower towels are provided.
All the floors have a balcony with ocean view. From the top terrace, you can see all the surfing spots between Banana Point and Killer Point. The views from the rooftop yoga shala sweep across the Atlantic Ocean, from beyond Morocco’s most famous surfing spot, Anchor Point and South, to the port and marina at Agadir. Children of all ages are welcome and childcare can be arranged.
You will swap the ups and downs of life for the challenges of learning to surf the Atlantic waves. The peace you find whilst paddling the surf is something you can carry with you through every moment in life. Whilst surfing is a physical practice, it also teaches us the importance and power of being always present and conscious.
Whether you are a surfer who is interested in yoga or a yogi wishing to master the surf or maybe you already love both the surf and your yoga mat, this retreat is the perfect way to delve into both and discover how they support one another so well.
You will learn to surf with fully qualified surfing instructors who will guide you every day to the best surfing spots according to each individual's skill and the conditions on the day. All of the surfing instructors hold a French coaching license and can teach classes in English, French, Portuguese, and Spanish. If you're just surfing, you are always welcome to join any yoga session for 10 EUR each.
You will get one visit to the souk (market) of Agadir.
The village of Tamraght is situated between the first Atlas Mountains and the Atlantic Ocean, twelve kilometers north of Agadir and two kilometers’ far from Taghazout.
Breakfast, lunch, and dinner will be available every day. Vegetarian options are available too. If you have any special dietary requirements, please let Surf Yoga Morocco know in advance so they can do their best to accommodate you. Any vegetarians need to tell Surf Yoga Morocco if they also exclude dairy (milk and cheese) or eggs from their diets. In Morocco, not all specialized food alternatives are available.
Although Islam forbids the consumption of alcohol by Muslims and alcohol cannot be sold or served in the towns, it can be bought in Agadir. Popular places to buy alcohol in Agadir are Marjane and Uniprix. Some types of alcohol and imports can be expensive so it may serve you well to get Duty Free on your way here. Tap water is fine for washing and brushing teeth but Surf Yoga Morocco does not recommend that you drink large quantities. Bottled mineral water is cheap (5 MAD) and available everywhere. Sometimes visitors suffer stomach upsets but this often passes quickly (usually within 24 hours) so give yourself a break, drink plenty of water, and stay near a bathroom, if you can.
Please book your flight to arrive at Agadir-Al Massira Airport (AGA). Transfer from and to the airport is included. Surf Yoga Morocco will pick you up from the airport.
Please note that transfers from any other airport is not included. Morocco is served by direct flights from the UK and other major European airports with flight times to Agadir between two / four hours. Guests traveling from the US can connect either in Casablanca or at a European airport as there are no direct flights to Agadir. Surf Yoga Morocco is based in Tamraght, one of the famous little surfing villages in-between Taghazout and Aourir. From Agadir-Al Massira Airport (AGA), it’s a 45-minute drive along the coastal road. There are taxis at the airport for 300 MAD but you can also arrange a pick-up from Surf Yoga Morocco.
Flights leave the UK from Gatwick Airport (LGW), Heathrow Airport (LHR), and Manchester Airport (MAN). From the UK, you can get flights from Easyjet / Monarch / Ryanair / Thomsonfly / Flythomascook / Royal Air Maroc. You can also get direct flights from Amsterdam, Dublin, Paris, and many German cities. From Belgium (Brussels), you can get Ryanair. From France (Paris), you can get Transavia / Jet4You / EasyJet. From Germany (several cities), you can get TUI / Condor / AirBerlin. From Ireland (Dublin), you can get Aer Lingus. From the Netherlands (Amsterdam), you can get TUI / Transavia.
Transfers from Marrakech usually take 3-4 hours and cost approximately 120 EUR for 1-4 people or else you can take a bus. Surf Yoga Morocco recommends either CTM or Supratours. For flights to Marrakech, you can get Ryanair / Easyjet / Thomsonfly / Royal Air Maroc / BA.
