I had a great time surfing. Awesome business, makes the whole experience super easy. Board, wet suit and getting to the beach is all taken care of.

We had a wonderful time learning how to surf with Ben. He was professional, understanding and patient with us newbies and did everything he could to make us feel comfortable (and catch a few waves). Couldn't recommend him more and it was the best experience we had in Santa Cruz. The weather/surf was perfect this time of year and we...

This was our second time taking lessons at Surf School Santa Cruz. The instructors are super nice and very experienced. Our kids had one instructor each, they learned very fast! We will definately come back!

SO FUN! I had the most fun experience catching waves (YES I actually caught waves on my first lesson - anticipating a call from Roxy any day now) with the awesome people at Surf School Santa Cruz. Owner Brad is a gem: super friendly, calming and purely passionate about surfing.

My friend Jenny and I took a private lesson with Big C and Ben - both the coolest guys ever and really made the lesson feel like we were being taught by good friends rather than stuffy instructors. They don't keep you on the beach for an hour either - it's master the basics and BOOM let's see it happen on a wave. I loved that because we got plenty of practice time in the water.

Big C and Ben did an awesome job adjusting to our different skill levels and had us smiling and laughing the whole time despite our arms almost falling off from paddling so much. Clean wetsuits, solid boards and they even drive you down to the water so you don't have to carry your board. Location is pretty private and uncrowded in the water which is a dream when you have zero control of your board. LOVED IT! OH and I saw an adorable otter in the water. What more can you ask for? Will be back 100% Thanks guys!

Mum, Dad, and children 11, 13, 14 all go up and standing very quickly due to excellent trainer (3 for the 5 of us) and the odd shove to help get up to speed. Expensive, but you are getting private tuition and this was a top activity from our holiday.
