Surf n Yoga is Surf N Stay's most popular package and is available to anybody. Surfing and yoga are the perfect pair as one compliments the other. Surf in the morning and stretch it out in the evening with this all in one package. The qualified surf coaches and certified yoga teachers are here to maximize your experience, potential, ability, and skills by sharing their passions with you!
The drifter room is a shared room consisting of four single beds, set as spacious bunks. Beds are sold separately, so that a solo person can choose a smaller ratio. The Drifter room includes fresh sheets with a warm duvet blanket and pillow.

Start your morning in the ocean, surfing with the Surf N Stay highly recommended coaches who will ensure you catch plenty of waves. With their guidance, you will learn proper popup technique, the most efficient and effective way to paddle, what to look for so you can catch your own waves, as well as safety tips and surfer’s etiquette to keep yourself and others safe.
Spend an hour each evening with the Surf N Stay qualified yoga teacher. With over 400 hours of training and seven years of teaching in multiple surf towns, she has developed a yoga class specifically for fellow surfers. Learn several yoga flows designed to stretch and strengthen your surf muscles with poses that you can use well after your adventure with us. These poses will help you stay in surf shape in between time in the water. You will also learn proper breathing and alignment techniques, variations of poses as well as modifications. Each class ends with a short meditation.
Mauro is an ISA level two certified instructor with over 10 years of coaching experience. He owns and operates the Surf N Stay New Zealand. He opened the first Surf N Stay in Rio de Janeiro. After eight years in Brazil where his first son was born, he kept his dream alive of expanding to other destinations and opened a surf camp in Whangamata, New Zealand. Mauro teaches surfing with a great passion for the sport and the local community and run the Surf N Stay adventure hostel to let surfers and visitors from all around the world experience this beautiful part of the world.
Kat is has alot of experience with coaching surfing and Standup paddleboarding being certified 1 and 2 with 15 yrs Managing Surf Camps. She enjoys putting a fun lesson together with important feedback to gain improvements.
The town of Whangamata is sited on the southeast coast of the Coromandel Peninsula, in the North Island of New Zealand.

Please book your flight to arrive at Auckland Airport (AKL). Go Kiwi Shuttles will pick you up from Auckland City 94 NZD or the airport (domestic or international) and drop you off at the door of the surf lodge.
There are buses from Auckland Airport (AKL) to the two main towns neighbouring Whangamata, namely Tairua and Waihi.
There are a few options here. Surf to Sand Shuttle can be booked for you to be picked up from the info site at Waihi, you can ask for details to make a pre-booking. Check InterCity New Zealand’s national network for bus schedules and bookings. Otherwise, you make contact with Go Kiwi to get to Whangamata from other cities and towns.
Connections with other bus companies like Go Stray and The Kiwi Explorer will be heading to one of the neighboring towns. Surf N Stay New Zealand will arrange the transfer van for you.
