South Male’ Atoll, Guraidhoo Island is the ideal location for those who wish to enrich their holidays not only with surfing activities but also with local culture, tradition, and cuisines. Goaridhoo Surf Camp resort has 5 standard double rooms with attached toilet, air-conditioner, and 24-hour room service. It offers many facilities such as barbecue, in-house entertainment, laundry, free coffee and tea, smoking area, babysitting, Wi-Fi, and television.
In this surf camp, you will be taken to several surf spots for your surfing. There are three scheduled spots which are Riptides, Foxys, and Kandooma.
It has a right-hander wave breaking for 150 meters on a reef in the middle of a channel near Guraidhoo. It is a great wave for the long-boarders and short-boarders as well as intermediate surfers, providing very carvable walls with occasional hollow section. It can reach its best conditions with high tide, south east swell, and south west wind.
This wave is at Lhosfushi, a small uninhabited island that is 100 meters away from Guraidhoo. It is a fast, hollow left-hander breaking on shallow reef which run up to 100-150 meters providing many barrel sections. Its best conditions are south east swell and north west wind.
It is a fast breaking right-hander with two peaks. The first is an easier and smoother option and the second is a steep critical take off providing more barrel sections with speed. It is a good wave for both pros and beginner level surfers. Its best conditions are mid tide, south east swell, and west winds.
During your surf camp, you will be taken to several surf spots for your surfing, such as Riptides, Foxys, and Kandooma.
This surf camp will take place at Guraidhoo Surf Camp located in South Male Atoll, Guraidhoo Island, Maldives. The surf camp allows easy access to all the lively the island has to offer and is just foot steps away from the jetty.
To reach Guraidhoo, you will have to catch the local ferry which operating 6 days a week, except on Fridays. It takes approximately 2 hours to reach the island, departing Male’ at 2.30 p.m. and returning back from Guraidhoo at 7 a.m. In case you miss the ferry, Surf in Maldives can arrange you a speed boat transfer.
