"Liberating, Friendly, & Relaxing"
The arrangements were all sorted in advance so everything from airport transfer to trips on rainy days were smooth and helped with peace-of-mind.
They catered for me being vegan very well with options every night.
The communal aspect meant everyone was friendly and got on like a family, eating, doing yoga, and learning to surf together. As a solo traveler, this was great as there was a worry I would be alone and isolated, which wasn't the case at all!
There was flexibility to decide what you wanted to do as you could choose not to surf or to go on a trip to Agadir or Paradise Valley instead.
They were very accommodating if you wanted to change rooms or buy alcohol from the shop 30 minutes away.
Very lovely place and retreat!
from United States, October 2018
The location is amazing, the owners Julia and Reda are lovely and they would go out of their way to accommodate you. Really fab facilities, trips, food and a great vibe at the hostel. Great place for solo travelers , couples or friends travelling.

I adored Glendi and her lovely calming energy. She expertly helped us to recover and prepare for surf sessions, tailoring each class to our needs and energy levels. The terrace is the perfect spot to let go with the soothing melody of the lapping waves. Namaste <3

"Awesome weekend! 5 days of pleasure"
Staing in this surf camp was the great experience! Stuff was very welcoming and helpfull in any things you want. The room was amazing, with ocean view and it so cool to sleep with the sound of the ocean. The camp is situated really close to ocean, 2 minutes and you are on the beach. The meals were very delicious: for breakfest it was kind of a buffet, lunch was on a surfspot during surf train, dinner was on the rooftop with a charming view included traditional morrocan food. Additionally yoga trains were on this charming rooftop. And of course Mohammad is the best instructor. He tought very well how to become a super surfer)))
We are very gratefull to the surf camp for this weekend and hope we will return back)

I don't normally bother writing reviews but in this case, I am glad to do so.
Reda, Julia, Mohammed, Lahoucien and all the Surf Coast Morocco team are great. I had the best holiday ever.
The hostel is very nice and clean with views of the sea from everywhere, food is excellent and the surf instructors are stars. Yoga teachers are great too.
Surf Coast Morocco team is very friendly and accommodating, always available to give you any sort of information and there for you to have a great time, even on call!
Excursions at Paradise Valley, Agadir market, and hammam are very enjoyable.
I definitely recommend the experience.
from Great Britain, May 2018
The sea views were stunning, and the bedrooms were lovely, very clean. All yoga and surf equipment was provided, as was a wifi password and phone number in case of an issue. Airport pickup and drop offs were included, so we were collected from our hostel and taken to the retreat. Very polite staff. Lovely breakfast.
I enjoyed surfing with the instructor Francis, and the yoga session with Julia was good. However because of all the surfing I was so achy and only made it to the first yoga session!

This place is so cozy and chilled. You feel at home quickly and everyone is so sweet. The surf instructor Francisco was so great at telling people in details what to do, so that you got better everyday and the yoga teacher was an amazing person who wanted to make people feel great and improve their yoga.
I really recommend staying here, and I will definitely come back.

"A home away from home "
When I arrived I was extremely happy with the accommodation. A cosy house nestled right on the edge of the rocks overlooking the sea. Two beautiful and cosy terraces. There’s not a place in the house where you can’t hear the soothing sound of the sea. It was perfect. The top terrace caught the sun all day and the bottom terrace (where we ate our amazing meals) was cosy and created some shaded seating area. Reda, Julia and the rest of the staff were faultless from start to finish. It was honestly like I slotted right in as part of one big family - they couldn’t do enough for you. Such a lovely atmosphere. Mohammed and Francis were great surf instructors and Jeanekke taught some amazing yoga sessions. I only stayed for five days but I would without a doubt go back and recommend it to anyone - absolutely fantastic value for money.

Positive vibes. The hosts, instructors and guests interact as one big family and take care of the guests.

"Beautiful stay in Taghazout"
I had an absolutely wonderful stay at Surf Coast Morocco. The hosts were very helpful with everything, there is a warm, home atmosphere, dedicated surfing and yoga teachers and absolutely amazing view over the ocean. Meals are eaten at a long table, with homemade food, that tasted heavenly. Definitely a place to visit and revisit. In addition the waves have been great for surfing. And temperature very nice and warm in January. I will miss the town and the people who run this place.

"A warm welcome in Morocco"
From the moment Reda picked me up at the airport I knew I was in safe hands. The staff at the hostel were so friendly and accommodating and encouraged everyone to mingle, there was a real family vibe going on from the offset. The yoga classes were perfectly paced for pre and post surf/excursion and the tuition was second to none, many non surfers left with the surfing bug!

"INcredible trip "
This was such a fantastic holiday and I highly recommend it! I went on my own, so was a little apprehensive, but there is such an incredibly warm, welcoming and friendly atmosphere that I felt part of the group very quickly. The yoga is perfect, and the surfing was great! The instructors are fun and very patient. The best thing is eating each meal together, and getting to know each other over dinner. This was one of my favourite holidays and i highly recommend it!

"The Merriest Surf Christmas "
I had the most wonderful time, I can't say enough good things about my experience at Surf Coast. I stayed there over Christmas and was treated like a guest in their home! The food was plentiful and delicious!! OMG the beef, apricot and prune tagine!
When I arrived they took me to a cosy little private room on the terrace, overlooking the ocean. The morning and evening yoga sessions were fantastic, with Rachael (the yoga instructor) taking us through a mixture of relaxing and challenging routines. We started one morning with an acro-yoga session on the beach and then ran into the ocean afterwards! There's simply no better way to wake you up and get you ready for the surf!
The surf instruction was perfection with Muhammad and Frances providing hands-on and knowledgable instruction. They are both such laid back and wonderful people! Every person that was working at surf coast was an absolute gem and I loved how guests and staff hung out together in the common areas, making music, singing and dancing!
Thank you for a beautiful alternative Christmas experience! I'd love to return again!

"Phenomenal retreat in Taghazout!"
Everything was top notch at Surf Coast Morocco from the yoga taught by Kris/Amy on the beautiful rooftop terrace morning and night, to our awesome surf instructor, Mohammed. Both instructors were patient, and I learned so much about myself. It was the perfect setting to relax and take it at your own pace. You definitely have to go with the flow with things and just embrace the culture because its a super chill place and I had to learn to just trust that it will work out. I was also very impressed with the food at every meal. You definitely won't go hungry and there's always a huge variety of things to eat.
I came to Taghazout to relax and not have to worry about anything, and that's exactly what happened. The beach house is absolutely stunning and I had my own room on the top floor. I fell asleep to the sound of waves on the beach and woke up to the same sound with brilliant sunshine, it was blissful. Anything we needed was always handled by Reda and he made sure we were always comfortable and well taken care of. He went above and beyond to meet our needs, always driving us to different surf spots and day trips (in the coolest Back to the Future car you have ever seen!), and I can't thank the Surf Coast Morocco team enough for such an unforgettable experience.

"Amazing days in this hostel "
I booked 6 days in this hostel but I actually stayed 9 days because I felt really good there. The hostel is localized in front of the ocean 😍, in the village. It offer you the best view ever, specially on the rooftop, search an amazing 360 view. All the yoga & surf courses were really nice. Really liked the Yoga on the rooftop. The spirit of the hostel is also good, I travelled alone but I met lots of people and felt really like home in surf coast morocco. The team is also really good, they are doing good to make you confortable, they are easy going for everything and benevolent with everyone. They will make you laugh, and happier. The food was really good, cooked by locals 😋. If you want to put your mind off for few days, have a big break of your own life, enjoy simple things of what life can offer you please go there ! Thx surf coast morocco for the amazing time 🙏🏻😍🌊🏄♀️🌴🧘♀️🇲🇦

"Already want to go back"
A perfect week from beginning to end... Beautiful clean accomodation, fabulous healthy food, waking up to the sound of the waves... Taghazout is a relaxed place while still being in another interesting culture, making you forget your everyday stress at home. Heartful, welcoming people all around. Hostel staff was amazing, listening to any wish you could have. You literally can let go the time you are there... everything just gets fixed for you! We dropped the day trips to Agadir and Paradise Valley because we were too crazy about surfing :), and actually we found enough presents to bring home by strolling through the streets of Taghazout instead of going to Agadir market. You have to visit the local hamam, we really liked that experience!
As a surf spot, Taghazout will not disappoint you whether you're beginner or pro level. Yoga lessons on the rooftop are a relief to your hurting body after fighting in the waves... We want to thank especially Mohammad and Master of Halli Galli Lahoucien :) and Francesc for inspiring us, as well as yoga teacher Olivia. So many good people we met that it is hard to believe we just spent one week there! Miss you guys!!! Love!!! Nadja and Maria

"Sweet experience, perfect activities yoga and surf"
Accommodation has perfect position -just on the beach and next to the square where is shops and local supermarkets, restaurants ( typical and European both). always clean( Tall Reda is everywhere and takes care about averything in the apartment!) and accurate plants and herbs on terrace made me feel like home for warm and sweet staffs. Home made typical food- rich breakfast was perfect after morning yoga and to prepare energy for surfing(home made bread of Reda’s mom, typical dinner of Naima and Reda mom (tasteful :-)). And chilling on terrace watching sky and the moon after dinner was my favorite moment. Surfing with instructor Mohamed was very cool. He’s ecellent to catch what is my surfing step and makes me find my way to surf. Guendy’s yoga was so good for balancing your body and relaxing mind, it’s a cool matching with surf. And warm talking with her :-). Airport pick up was precise and careful. I had one of my best holiday by myself, i’ll be back there whenever I need to charge my energy. thanks to all staffs and big hug.

"Just what I was looking for, even if I didn't know it !"
Set out for a week's yoga and surf instruction, without knowing where I was going, having reserved several months prior to getting on the plane and then forgetting about it. Had no idea of the name of the hotel or the exact location, only that someone was due to pick me up on arrival. This caused some problems at Agadir immigration especially as I'd just picked a name out of the inflight magazine as a destination. Not a great idea. Long story short I got through and was delivered to Tarazout surf hotel ( ? )
Took me a couple of days to adjust to the vibe of the village and the hotel that I now realised was more hostel than hotel, but by the end of my weeks stay I didn't want to leave, so relaxed had I become. Starting and ending a day with yoga on a roof terrace overlooking the ocean doesn't require much in between to feel totally chilled. The fact that most days I was in the waves trying and succeeding in getting up on a surf board became actually a spiritual and life changing moment.
And the food is really good and the people are very nice !
Moving forward, I will return to this place that I still don't really know the name of, and I'm sure for longer than a week. The roof top terrace will beckon !

"All Wanderlusts Must Visit Here!!"
Tucked away in an ornate coastal town you will find Surf Coast Morocco perfectly located on beach. Fall asleep every night to the peaceful waves crashing & wake up every morning to the most spectacular sunrises. This location is everything to live for. A true must visit. The staff became more like family to me as I was travelling alone. Reda, Khalid, Mohammed (both of them), surf instructor Abash, and yoga instructors Nastya & Amy. A gentle group who embraces everyone. They made sure that every aspect of my stay was comfortable from food, to linens, to atmosphere, to cultural experiences, to laughs and everything in between. I was inspired and will definitely be back to visit this beautiful country! Thank you so much Surf Coast Morocco!

"Most amazing experience"
This was my first surf & yoga "retreat" and my first experience travelling alone. I am delighted and enlightened by this past week. It has been a great experience and I have met great people.
Everyone at Surf Coast Morocco is so kind, genuine and passionate. The Coast House is a dream, facing the ocean, you hear the sound of waves all night long and can enjoy meals as well as sunrise and sunset yoga flows seeing the ocean and the beach. It was my first time surfing and I was not confident about it but the surf teachers were patient and attentive and helped me overcome my apprehension. The food is also so good, Naima is an excellent cook and all meals are perfect.
Finally, Taghazout is such a nice and cute village with everyone so kind. The atmosphere feels very genuine and authentic. I could not recommend it more and truly hope to come back one day.
from United States, August 2018
"What are you waiting for? :)"
I had a brilliant week in Taghazout with Surf Coast Morocco. Everybody was very nice and tried to make everything possible a guest could ask for.
The food was really, really good, cooked freshly from a beautiful Moroccan lady. Mohammed, the surf instructor, as well as Gwendy, the yoga teacher, were absolutely professional and I could feel that they enjoy their job. I had fun nights on the deck with other travellers staying a few days or longer; laying in bed, I could hear the ocean - a piece of paradise and a place to recharge one's batteries. :)
The small village provides some surf shops, restaurants and a few supermarkets. The locals were friendly thus I felt safe at all times.
I highly recommend this trip for everyone being on this page and thinking about it :)

"Amazing Surf- and Yoga Holidays"
I loved the atmosphere at Surf Coast Morocco. The group was small and the staff took really good care of us and always tried everything to fulfill all our wishes. The days typically started with a morning yoga class and breakfast afterwards. When we were finished we went to look for the beach with the best waves and surfing conditions and stayed there till the evening. Our surf teacher Mohammed was amazing and did an excellent job explaining us everything we needed in order to get started in the water and improve our surfing skills. The evening yoga class usually took place at sunset time with an amazing view over the ocean and ended with a Shavasana under the stars. The yoga teacher Kris was simply the best - she adapted all the yoga classes perfectly to our needs. Being very passionate about what she is doing, she even offered 1:1 sessions for those who have had some injuries or needed special assistance.
Another highlight was the food, we had a different dish every day and it was always very delicious.

"Perfect holidays !"
Definitely one of my best holidays. I didn't expect that it would be soooo nice. Perfect organization, perfect food. Thanks to Mohammed who taught me some many new things in surf so I really improved my surf level in 15 days. Thanks to Kris who taught Yoga in a so nice way <3. The beach house towards the ocean allowed me to fall asleep in a perfect mood every night, listening to the waves (and I miss it soo much in Paris), every end of afternoon enjoying the sunset of the rooftop with the others guest and this AMAZING staff team that paid a lot of attention to everyone. We had a looot of fun together and I will miss them (until the next time I come back :D). Every day a new day a perfect day. Go for it guys.
