Accommodation

You will be accommodated in a beautiful Vis town villa that is located uphill from the town’s bay and only 5-minute walk from the center and a 10-minute walk from the beach. With an amazing view of the town and the Vis bay as well as a pool and large terraces, the villa is a great place for this active yoga holiday.

Breakfast and dinner will be served in the outdoor dining areas or in the indoor dining room in case of bad weather. Enjoy your downtime on the large terraces, by the pool or in modern and fully equipped rooms. With the town just minutes away, you can always come down for a cup of coffee or a stroll on the beautiful town promenade!

Each room has its own bathroom and air conditioning. The villa also has these amenities: air conditioning, CD player, DVD player, radio, Satellite or cable, stereo, television, and laundry room. Bed linens and towels are provided at the villa. Please bring your own beach towels.

Program

Yoga on a paddle board not only challenges the physical practice by incorporating a strong sense of balance, but also brings in the mental challenge of focus, release, and tenacity.

This is an active, challenging and crazy fun SUP yoga holiday. It’s a week in a villa situated on the island of Vis with breathtaking views over the sea, yoga (SUP and land) and active travel. As well as with healthy vegetarian food, island summer parties under the sky, tastings, new friends and much more.

SUP Yoga

Even if you’ve never tried SUP yoga - do not worry, you will quickly get a handle on it! Yoga classes at the retreat are suitable for everyone, from a beginner to a longer practicing yogi. You will have your morning stand up paddleboard yoga sessions on the SUP boards. Peaceful and calm waters will help build your confidence day by day and you will sense a big difference in your yoga practice at the end of the week.

The afternoon land yoga classes will focus on Restorative and Yin yoga to help you unwind after the day. Summersalt Yoga provides SUP boards, yoga mats, blocks, blankets, and straps.

Rosie Markwick
Originally from London, Rosie has been passionately engaged with yoga for the past 7 years. Exploration of the yogic arts has taken to her on adventures across South East Asia and Australasia, diving deeper into the teachings on the way. Rosie completed Yoga Alliance 200-hour training. This was swiftly followed by a SUP yoga teacher training after falling in love with the practice on tropical lagoons of Indonesia.Since, she has furthered her qualifications in both yoga and SUP, completing a SUP instructor course as well as trainings in yin yoga, yoga energetics and craniosacral therapy.

Location

The island of Vis is one of the most further, isolated and mysterious Croatian islands. The island charms with its natural beauties, rugged coast around the island, dotted with gorgeous coves, caves and a couple of sandy beaches, as well as crystal clear sea, surrounding islets and a spectacular green inland.

Vis is becoming the first choice destination for those travelers that seek authenticity, nature, gourmet delights and peace and quiet. Vis produces some of Croatia’s best-known wines - vugava (white) in particular - and you’ll see miles of vineyards across the island. You’ll also taste some of the freshest seafood.

Food

This SUP yoga retreat provides vegetarian meals including self-service rich breakfast with yogurts, cereals, porridge bread, jams, honey, eggs, baked goods, fruit, coffee, tea and dinner, midday snacks and dinner cooked at the villa.

All of the food is vegetarian, vegan, or raw. A lot of locally grown seasonal fruit, vegetables, spices, and herbs as well locally produced olive oil, cheeses and other goodies are used. Healthy nutrition is a very important part of healthy lifestyle. That’s why Summersalt Yoga pays a lot of attention and time in preparing it and serving it fresh and delicious for you.

How to get there

Arrival by airplane

The best airport to arrive at is the Split Airport (SPU). From Split Airport, take the airport shuttle for approximately 5 EUR or a cab for approximately 30 EUR) to the city harbor which is located in the very center of the city.

Other airports that you can fly into are Zagreb International Airport (ZAG), Dubrovnik Airport (DBV), or Zadar Airport (ZAD). From these airports, you can take a bus to Split. You can send an inquiry to Summersalt Yoga on what is the best way to get to the location.

Arrival by ferry

You will be met at the harbor (you will be informed about the exact time and location) and take care of your travels to the island with the ferry from there.

Cancellation Policy

  • A reservation requires a deposit of 30% of the total price.
  • The deposit is non-refundable, if the booking is cancelled.
  • The rest of the payment should be paid 30 days before arrival.
