My fiance and I went to Stoners and stayed in the Jefe cabin. It had 2 beds with mosquito netting, although the bugs didn't seem to be a problem inside. There were a couple of tables and several outlets. The porch, while a little run down, provided shade and chairs for enjoying the beach without the hustle. It felt like our own personal hideaway! The morning breakfast was always delicious. The kitchen opened sometime between 8-9am and their slower pace allowed us to slow down, too. We mostly used the outdoor shower, but there were 2 open air showers that were also available. The toilets weren't the most reliable, but always seemed to be ready for the next use. Sometimes, however, the water was turned off in the middle of the night.

The community vibe at Stoners was welcoming, helpful, and comfortable. Everyone bought beers and sat around the smoke bomb into the evenings. José was helpful with just about anything and Ebon, the night watchman, made us feel protected and safe. We will absolutely return to Stoners!

We recommend it to anyone that wants an experience very different from the resort scene or to travel on the cheap. A slower paced style with a cool community vibe!

Brought my kids here for their first surf lesson. We love rustic and do it yourself style. The beach front cabins were perfect as upscale camping. Don't expect A/C for the rock bottom prices Pompis gifts this million dollar view. Included for the surf folks is a communal kitchen with fridge, stove, and the basics plates and utensils needed for cooking. Pompis and his crew are extremely friendly and accepting. If on a budget, this place rocks!

As I was traveling through Mexico with some friends we found Stoner's Surf Camp placed in the Lonely Planet 2015 (German Version). It sounded awesome as we decided to give it a go. Stoner's is perfect for los budget traveling and getting to know the right places around the pacific. Even for surfing it is a great spot.

If you get here, it's all about relaxing, surfing and enjoying the ocean in front of you. You have shared showers and toilets. Breakfast is not included but the camp does some really nice fruit plates and super sweet pan cakes.

The only hard thing was to get to San Blas, as we started from Guadalajara we rented a car, as we couldn't figure out the bus times and so on! I would definitely recommend Stoner's. One of my fav spots in mexico.

As my friends and I were on a roadtrip we found this place in the Lonely Planet and were more than satisfied! Really cool straw huts directly located at the beach. We were 9 people in total and had 3 different houses were we slept in. The staff is super friendly and totally relaxed. You don't come here to party but to surf and chill at the beach, enjoy the ocean view and live the typical mexican way of life.

You have shared showers and toilets (but separated in men and women), the beds are covered in mosquito nets which is really important as they were killing us at the beach. for one night we paid a bit more than 200 pesos which super cheap. Breakfast was not included but as the camp offers has a restaurant we just ordered some food for breakfast the other day.

If wished you can also rent a board and enjoy the sunrise while surfing in the ocean.

We were all very pleased and can definitely recommend it. We felt like the only tourists (and probabaly were the only ones as well).

However, I think it was quite difficult to get there, we rented a car but I don't know if any busses go from any place to San Blas.

Great budget travel option for visitors to San Blas, plus you get to stay in awesome traditional cabanas (huts) on the beach, get free bike rental, and the option to rent boards and take surf lessons. A cheaper option is camping at Stoners, either way you get full access to the kitchen and showers.
