SUP, EAT, SLEEP! Three days full of SUP-surfing, beach, nature, fun and some yoga. You can join only as a more experienced paddler to improve your skills in the waves. Come experience an inspiring sup culture with healthy food, Dutch waves and beautiful sunsets.

This retreat is for more experienced paddlers who want to improve their skills in the waves, including SUP-coaching consisting of SUP-technique, ocean awareness and breathing techniques.

You will stay a local hotel close to Mana Lodge for 2 nights. Here you will have a private room. Within a few minutes you walk to Mana Lodge.

Mana Lodge is located in the famous surf village of Wijk aan Zee, in the dunes, next to a church and close to the beach and the sea. Mana is the Hawaiian word for soul, spirit and life energy, which is reflected in the interior: lots of straw wood, concrete, wood stoves and natural elements. Mana Lodge will be used for breakfast, yoga, sup and soul sessions.

The kitchen is probably the heart of Mana Lodge, here you start with a breakfast, make plans for the day, drink tea and coffee, listen to music and have long warm conversations next to the fire place!


Experienced stand up paddle retreat

You will practice SUP depending on the circumstances, weather and tides. When the waves are good you will go to the ocean in Wijk aan Zee for SUP surfing, and if the waves are not good you will practice SUP technique on canals and lakes for SUP touring. When there is a lot of wind, it will be possible to go SUP down winding on the ocean or lakes.

When the tide is good in the early morning, you will go for an early bird SUP and have breakfast afterwards. Every SUP lesson will start with a short warming-up including some powerful yoga exercises.

The retreat will start 9 am on Friday and ends 3 pm on Sunday

Every SUP session last approximately 1.5 hours.

Wijk aan Zee is a small surfing, artists and musicians village in de province of North Holland, 30 minutes from Amsterdam and Schiphol airport. The village has about 2200 inhabitants and is surrounded by the steel company Tata Steel, the North Sea and a nature reservation park. Driving through a tree lined road into the village, you will immediately notice the green village to your left, around which Wijk aan Zee is built. Because of the piers Wijk aan Zee is the best SUP and surfing spot of Holland! Wijk aan Zee, a place with soul and the best waves in Holland!


Every morning a healthy and organic breakfast is provided! There are plenty spots around for lunch and dinner.

How to get there

Recommended Airports

Arrival by airplane

Please book your flight to arrive at Schiphol Airport (AMS).

Arrival by train

The closest train station is Beverwijk, you can take a bus or taxi from there to Wijk aan Zee. The Lodge is 50 meters from a well known restaurant called Sonnevanck and is located next to the big church and 1 minute from the beach.

Arrival by taxi

The easiest way to get to Mana Lodge is to take a taxi from Schiphol Airport to Wijk aan Zee. When you exit the airport arrival doors, the taxi drivers will be waiting for you and will drive you straight to our location!

Arrival by car

Getting to Mana Lodge from the airport is easy. You can ask at the car rental counter how to get to Beverwijk driving the A9. From there you have to exit onto Wijk aan Zee.

Cancellation Policy

  • A reservation requires a deposit of 50% of the total price.
  • The deposit is fully refundable if the booking is cancelled up to 30 days before the arrival date.
  • The rest of the payment should be paid 10 days before arrival.
