Program
Day 1: Arrival
Check-in starts at 14:00, but you can also arrive earlier and enjoy the beach and pool. The hotel will happily store your luggage until the room is ready. The afternoon is all for you to explore the beautiful long Dikwella beach, the local town, or just to chill with a drink next to the ocean-view swimming pool.
Days 2 to 7
Wake up to the ocean sound, have a wonderful international or local breakfast, then spend the time to catch the perfect wave! Put on your sunscreen and the instructor will take you to the best spots to learn and have a great time in the warm waters of the Indian Ocean.
After lunch, there are plenty of activities available - from lazy sunbaths, a beach volley game, a fun dip in the swimming pool, drinks indulgence, to an interesting excursion in the surroundings. This retreat's got you covered!
What's better than a happy hour on the beach? Have a drink and watch the sun go down, enjoying some chill music and your favorite drink. This could also be a time to rest or perhaps take a stroll around Hiriketiya for a party night out. It's just a five-minute tuk-tuk ride away.
Day 8: Departure
The check-out is at 12:00. However, the hotel can store your luggage if you wish to stay around a little longer and arrange a taxi to your next location.

Waka surf school opened in 2017 has been a true landmark in the Dikwella area for the surf community, counts knowledgeable and skillful instructors. Waka, its founder, has 20 years of experience as a surf teacher.
Location
Situated 180 kilometers from Colombo, on the southern coast of Sri Lanka, Dikwella is a stunning long and peaceful sandy beach for inspiring morning walks, salty rejuvenating baths, and of course, surf! It’s the perfect spot to relax and replenish away from the crowded and noisy touristic beaches, but still close enough for a fun night out.
You can find colorful traditional boats at the end of the beach and local fishermen are easy to spot.
Dikwella town is just 500 meters away, a bustling local small town where you can experience an authentic Sri Lankan lifestyle, with its exciting fruit and veg market, and local fish and coconut vendors. It is just a five-minute ride away from the famous Hiriketiya beach with its modern bars and restaurants, where you can roam around the surf community and enjoy a party night.
Dikwella is the perfect south coast stop for your Sri Lankan tour out of the bitten tracks! Splendid beach and authentic local community are not the only gems that this spot has to offer. It also has beautiful temples, a lively fish market, lighthouses, and a giant Buddha (the biggest in the country!) to discover.

The package includes daily breakfast. A supplement half board option is available at an extra cost of 40 USD per night per person. You will also be served a welcome drink.

Please book your flight to arrive at Bandaranaike International Airport (CMB). Airport transfer is available at an extra cost of 95 USD. Smeralda Beach Hotel Dikwella will be happy to arrange a direct transfer by air-conditioned car directly from the airport.
Their accredited driver will be meeting you at the arrival gate and will assist you with the luggage. All road tolls and toilet breaks are included in the journey.
Smeralda Beach Hotel Dikwella kindly requires your full name and flight number in order to confirm the transfer. The total transfer time is three hours. Please note that the overall expected time can be affected by break time and road traffic.
